Quote: strictlyAPSugarhouse Ran a promotion where there were community jackpots- everyone playing on the bank it 100 extra each time a jackpot was hit- there were three 25 dollar denom machines 8-5 jacks or better I think maybe 9-5. On top of mailers which are really good there- they had the bank locked up and had 43 quads already each quad was 1250 as we were playing 10 dollar denom which was also available on the machine. For every quad hit it was 1250 plus an additional 500 for the bank of other machines basically making the quads pay 1750. It didn't help that a royal was hit and drew a ton of scrutiny
Just curious, how are you playing a game under a math heavy, marginal promotion but don't know the paytable for it? Also, assuming 9/5 jacks, is that even that good? It's like 100.3% (eyeballed) at probably 30k coin in an hour given the high number of taxables, and your chance of getting nomailed is high. I also don't understand you say there were three machines but you were getting bonuses like it was a bank of six?
edit: did math, slightly over 100.8%. better than I would have guessed.
Definitely this. Sugar house over reacted for sure. Pretty sweet for them that they shut it down soon after they got the royal.
If it was 8/5 they would have been losing money on it longterm. Yikes.
Quote: strictlyAPThree of the machines have nickel ultimate ex as the low denom so three heavy players three nickel players
You said there were $500 in total bonus payments for each quad - that's only right if the nickel players were also getting those bonuses despite their smaller wagers. Sugarhouse is poorly run, but surely they weren't doing that, were they?
who was playing all the high denominations? Pros? I cant imagine poppies were all hammering away. Since all the real value was playing the nickels how was that addresses with the pros? unless they didn't care since they other value was in the mail. On $25 machines they would have maxed out the offer values quickly.Quote: strictlyAPThey were any machine in the bank got ot
Quote: strictlyAPDetails to follow - sugarhouse in Philly ran a promotion and shut it down rTher forcefully just now
Were all machines eligible for the promotion or were some excluded? Did they end the promotion completely or just ban the big players?

This may be it, it was promoted via Twitter but I've just checked twitterfeed and didn't find nothin' critical.
So how is it that the players felt it would be huge and showed up for it, found that it was indeed huge ... and only then the casino suddenly noticed: its a huge loss.Quote: strictlyAPtrust me it was a great promo if you couple it with the mailers it was huge- based on play of one day - the mailers would give up to an extra 4500 and then some- there is also a jackpot party that gives another 10k away
Quote: strictlyAPthey rolled 11 deep with gaming and security and slot managers- it was absurd- I got into it with one of the slot managers and he looked like he was going to hit me
Did they shut down the promo all together or just the team playing big vp?
Did you see any other teams trying out different approaches?

Dude, I have to say, I am not sure where you are going to be welcome to play soon. While I believe all you post, you are making a name for yourself across the country. Whereas most of the big AP's I know keep a low profile and do everything possible to not get barred. Getting into it with a slot manager isnt low profile.
You have recently posted you are not welcome for a period at Aria and perhaps all MGM's in Vegas, had issues at Cosmo and now in PA. Not good for long term results.
Okay, pal... it may not be your first rodeo or your last.... but I know which you are closer too.Quote: strictlyAPI hear you but I'm not new to this- and there much more background and cover then I care to share on here-
Quote: strictlyAPI just had to move to a different bank
So the promo did not get shut down with security...only your team was backed off?
