I'm relatively new to this forum, but I was waiting for this. Edit: I was hoping for a post more fitting the occasion.

I have a friend who wins consistantly playing roulette in Vegas. He doesn't play a mechanical system. He has a strategy that he adjusts according to the situation. This strategy is a complicated, complex mixture of probability, statistics and experience that has all morphed into a laser like intuition on the outside bets. He can't really explain what he does, he says it all comes out sounding like 'Gamblers Fallacy'. He doesn't win every bet, but he never loses a session. Ever. When I'm in Vegas, he lets me piggyback his bets sometimes and I always come away a winner. Why do they say roulette can't be beaten, when my friend and others, I'm sure, are beating it every day.
I have used Speed Count for the past 2 1/2 years and am +$27k in that time playing black chips spreading only 1-4 units
I find it easy to use and love the lack of heat.

This site is like crack apparently.
It amazes me how some people(not talking about you) make a big stink (even bash the site, the members and Mike) swear off this forum then run back and start posting as if nothing happen.

You're right 'not you', I said nothing when I
left. Just like in 2012 after the National Travesty
in Nov when I left. The one we're all paying
for now. All that hopey changey stuff.
for 3 months like I did for 15K? I asked the old

Ask the new owner or join under a new name like I had to do.
I did that a few times, but only for the unique ones on edit because you're not always sure until you post.Quote: GWAETo bad all older posts are updated with the post count. go from 15K to 16K, and 4 months to
go to 17K. That's about 8 posts a day
average. That's not a lot, there are
many here who do way more than that.
I've just been doing it longer.

Just looked at my stats on this site. Looks like I'm about 3.6 posts per day since I started posting here. I thought my post count would be much higher. On other forums in the past (one in particular), I averaged 1,200 posts a month for several months. Then (for the next few months) averaged about 1k/month. After about 2 and a half years (or 3?) I ended around 22,000 posts, if I remember correctly.

The other four members in the top-posters list have all been members for at least six months longer than you have. At your rate, they would be thousands of posts ahead of you.

Time for them to get to work, then..
In the case of message board posting, I would reverse that thought and say that quality is what is important. Sorry, EB....not impressed by your 17,000.

17,000 quality posts is hard for some people
take in all at once. I understand..

There is at least one poster here who is on a pace of just over 8 posts a day but may not be noticed having joined less than 2 years ago.
Yes But how many posts do you have at diversity tomorrow, Roulettesystems.com, MrCurmudgeon.com and schadenfreudlover.com ?Quote: EvenBob17,000 posts. It took about 4 months to

posts to 18,000. It took 4 months to to 16K
and 4 to get to 17K. I expect it will take a
long time indeed to get to 19K. Just not
enough here to talk about anymore.
That's 10 posts a day for the 5 years I've
been here. That's not really a lot, when
I routinely see people making 25-30
posts a day.

Actually, 10 post per day 7/52/365 for 5 years is quite impressive, at least as a number.
Happy anniversary?
I thought I would get used to the new site, I haven't. I have reduced my posts significantly. I will admit some of that is because I have been busy as of late. But usually I could find the time on my Mobil device to read and post. Now its just to cumbersome to navigate. That kills my motivation to keep up. It obviously seems the same for others as well. Everyone but 2f seems to be posting far less. I don't think it matters to the new owners. Most of the senior members are no value to their gaming affiliate model.Quote: EvenBobIt took exactly 5 months to get from 17,000

They could have the best of both worlds and and make a function that allows members to reverts to the older version we are all used to. New members wouldn't know the difference. Old members are what attract new members. I have a feeling both will decline.

Exactly right. When the prolific posters stop
posting, the forum dies. Seen it a dozen times.
This new design sucks, plain and simple. If
it drives me away, the biggest poster, what's
it doing to everybody else.

Just a lurker posting, but please illustrate the issues you have with the new layout, navigation. Your insights as well as many others, are humorous, enlightening and overall invaluable to the "community" here. I especially like your approach to advantage play and feel many more would find longevity if adopting your mindset.
Your constant badgering of Evenbob's roulette play sometimes seems brutal but one may hope it is simply tongue in cheek ribbing meant lightheartedly. There are a handful of posters that keep threads alive and provide invaluable information to both the recreational gambler and savvy advantage player. This is the value of this site, and I would hope that Zuga and the powers that be recognize this and would be eager to take action to rectify any issues...
Congratz EB on a ridiculous commitment to posting ;-)

Thanks? I guess? 10 posts a day average
is ridiculous? There are posters on the
sports betting sites that have 70,000 posts
in 4 years, or less. What are they in your
'who cares' opinion, lunatics?
But thanks for chiming in..
EB may not make it to 18,000 posts.
That is scary.
Perhaps he'll take anther sabbatical.
EB, all I want to know...
is your roulette system!!
After rereading what I said, I realized that I need to make something clear. I didn't mean to be so harsh by saying, "they don't care". I'm sure they do care. I just don't think they are as concerned about the original community as we are. The main vale for them is bringing new members who click affiliate banners. I have signed up for some myself, but most of the long time members won't touch online casinos. AAMOF most of the long time member discourage playing online casinos.Quote: LVJackalJust a lurker posting, but please illustrate the issues you have with the new layout, navigation. I cant describe exactly why and everything that I dislike about it. Before I could just quickly glance and see everything I needed to see. Everything seemed more compact, sharper, cleaner and crisp.
For starters, when you go to FORUM OVERVIEW and look at RECENT THREADS, they used to have Bold type anytime a new post was added that you hadn't checked.

Is it perhaps time for "senior" members to start looking for some other place to discuss these matters?
Quote: AxelWolfFor starters, when you go to FORUM OVERVIEW and look at RECENT THREADS, they used to have Bold type anytime a new post was added that you hadn't checked.
It still is that way. Except that the "bold" font is only very, very slightly different from the non-bold font. Look closely enough and you can tell the difference.

Not on my computer. The read and unread threads
are exactly the same shade of light blue?
Edit : OK, I need to revise that. If I go to https://wizardofvegas.com/forums/ and look at the list of recent posts, I cannot see the difference. Instead, I generally go to https://wizardofvegas.com/recent where I DO see a difference.
- Has the re-design made the site slower overall ? It seems to me that it has.
- Is the "Search Function" gone ? That is (was ?) a nice way to find a past thread OR topic.
And on a positive note:
+ I do like the new articles.
Quote: EvenBobNot on my computer. The read and unread threads

What I'm seeing is, on the main forum page, there is no difference between read and unread threads. If you click on the Recent Threads header, you get page after page of reverse chronological posts, and those have very obvious bold and non-bold titles which indicate where your new posts are.

I don't know if it's the redesign, but the forum is slower for me. However, Zuga said in another thread today that we will be on an upgraded, faster server within a few days. So I think it's worth waiting to see what improvements that brings.
The search function is on the top right of the black menu bar on all pages. There's a magnifying glass and the word "search" there now.
