I have just finished listening to all of the archived shows for this list. I only went back to Jan 2015 for 5hundy since they have a lot of shows. I will give my opinion of each for anyone that cares. If anyone knows of a podcast that is active and not on this list please let me know so I can add that as well.
Five Hundy By Midnight: http://www.fivehundybymidnight.com/fhbm/
When I listed to the first few episodes I couldn't figure out why they win awards. After maybe the 4th one they grew on me and now I will listen when they put up new shows. My only complaint is they swear a good bit. While I am not a prude I do listen at work so I have to use ear buds which I hate. I would definitely like to meet up with them and have a beer if our paths ever meet. I enjoy their bantering about Vegas and talking about trips. Talking about VIMPF for whatever it is called gets old but maybe that is because I listed to so many podcasts in the last 6 weeks and it they all talked about it.
You Can Bet On That : http://www.youcanbetonthat.com/
This is my favorite one out of the group. I enjoy hearing the stories of craps play. I enjoy craps and you don't hear many people talk about craps unless it is DI or setting. It is fun to hear about their big wins. My only complain is that Dr. Mike finishes marks sentences quite often. If that is my only complaint then I think they are doing something right.
Tipping The Odds: http://tippingtheoddslasvegas.libsyn.com/
I am really on the fence about this show. They talk about Vegas and gambling but it appears that neither one of them know what they hell they are talking about. Mitch doesn't know the answers to many questions that are so simple. If he were just a normal person going to Vegas and gambling every once in a while then I could see that happening but since he is on a gambling podcast this shouldn't happen. I wish I could give an example of a situation but I have listened to about 80 hours of podcast since I heard their last show so I can't come up with one for now. Also Dr. Kev seems to be very busy in real life which effects the show. Mitch should never do a solo show again. If they can't put time together for a show then they should just miss a week or 2. I will continue to listen for now but I am not sure for how much longer.
Vegas Fanboy: http://vegasfanboy.com/category/episodes/
I enjoy this show and I have to give him credit for doing a solo show. He does well for being on his own. Episodes are a little short, some as short as 14 minutes. I would like to see him keep them around 30-40 minutes which I think is a good time frame for a solo act. I enjoy his interviews and low roller talk. I fit right in with him and like 5hundy, wouldn't mind meeting up for a beer or 4.
Vegas Gang: http://www.vegasgangpodcast.com/
This podcast can get a little long. I have found that my tolerence level is around 45 minutes. Other than going over an hour I do enjoy this group. I like the round table talk. At one point it sounded like they were about to quit the podcast but it seems like they are back up and running well. I would be interested in hearing the back story as to why the original creator of the podcast left the group. It sounds like there were some issues they worked through. If they talked about that on the show I must have missed it.
Gambling with an Edge http://bobdancer.com/radio
I think everyone on this site knows about this one but I will give an opinion as well. As many know my moniker comes from this show. However it was not meant to be the same initials. I originally wanted it to be Gambling without an edge. My pea brain didn't realize that this shows initials were GWAE. I should have used GWOAE. Owell, such is life. So about the show. As we all know there have been quite a few co hosts. I really enjoyed the original show with Frank and kind of wish he would have stayed. I am not saying that I have not enjoyed the show with Michael and Richard I just liked Frank the best. The part I enjoy is that they get good guests and talk about a wide range of gambling. This has always been more like what you would expect on a radio show compared to a pod cast. They lost their radio broadcast and now are running it like a podcast. Hopefully they continue the show. I am not sure how the radio end worked, did they pay to have the show on or did the radio station pay them? If they lose sponsors since they are not over the air anymore then that could create the end of the show in the near future. I hope not but that is a concern.
Due for A Win www.dueforawin.com
This is a podcast for Atlantic City. It is a pretty heavy news oriented show which there is a lot of right now. They are somewhat new with only 12 episodes. Since I visit AC I like to hear the news. I would like them to incorporate a little more gambling into the show. They don't make trips very often so it may be tough for that to happen. All in all I like the show and will continue to listen.
