friend of mine was on fremont a few weeks ago on fri, sat nights. said he had to go thru security check points at each casino going in, what gives. first ive heard of this, any one else?

AB21 mentioned the same thing on his trip report. Seems like it is either because of Alcohol issues or because of violet crime?
I haven't been down there in a while but this is the first I have heard of it too.
It wouldn't surprise me though.

It wouldn't surprise me though.
The weekend I was there it was in place only on Friday night. Saturday night was almost as busy - but no security check points. Go figure.

I was down there fri/sat april 25-27; no security check points either night.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I stayed at Four Queens all last week, and never saw this. I was in-n-out of all casinos at all hours, never saw it. But then again, I'm male, white and normal looking.

I'm cynical on these things being for good reason based on thinking at NFL games it's used as a tool to prop up alcohol sales. Cleveland Horseshoe does about the same I hear as the football games. On security, does it make anymore sense to just force someone into blowing up or shooting the people up in line instead at the seats? Ulterior motives rule everything.

I didn't see anything that time as I was away, but I've seen many cop cars pulling people over today. Also I went to Palace station to get some Chinese food and saw a bunch of cops parked out by the valet area.
