A couple of questions, danica. Do you do any type of advanced play or is is strictly basic strategy? Do you keep a log of your play? I highly recommend it. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Mine isn't but it has everything I need.

Being "thousands" ahead doesn't mean much if you don't tell us how much you are betting. I have won tens of thousands in a few shoes before. So what? I was betting big and got lucky.
Anyway, basic strategy is a -EV game. So you are lucky to be ahead. It's possible that the dealers are terrible and are making enough mistakes in your favor to give you an edge off the top (if so, please tell me where you play), but, apart from this, if you are just playing basic strategy and not varying your bet with the count, your results are explained by good luck. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Online you will play one hand every 3 seconds so 6hrs of play is 7200 hands. the HE adds up
pretty quick in this example.
Quote: danicaHi I stick to basic stategy but increase my bets when I feel the dealer has had a unusual run of winning hands. I revert back to my original bet after three hands. I usually win

Yes it was!
It just seems strange that once I am ahead the dealer starts winning with unbelievable hands IE I get 21 and he hits 21 with a 6 upcard. I get blackjack and he hits blackjack with a 10 upcard or suddenly I am getting dealt hard 13 through to 16. This is not sour grapes as I have tried two different online casinos with the same result.
Quote: NeutrinoThis is actually sorta intuitive/primitive card counting. If dealer is having an unusual run of winning hands more often than not it was bunch of small cards (Remember high cards favor you, small cards favor dealer). Therefore when you notice the dealer has been winning, you're actually noticing the count going up. So you're technically card counting.
That could also work for a few basic strategy deviations.
What is your bet spread like? What are your minimum and maximum bets in one session?
If you say you play 6 hours a day, how many days have you played in total?
Someone suggested a "play log". This is a very good idea if you want to take the game seriously. Track your play and see what your sessions are like.
Enjoy the game but know, it is called gambling, not "winning" :)
Quote: danicaHi $20 table and over Blackjack pays 3 to 2 dealer sits on a soft 17 double after split . Dealer only looks for Blackjack after all hands are finished. no surrender.
If the dealer has blackjack does the player lose everything on doubles and splits or just the original bet?
You have any proof of this? Statistics? I think most are riggedQuote: rdw4potusSome online casinos may be rigged, but most aren't. .
