They go from offering 100K loss rebate to 100 coin bonus on dealt hands.
Even the ploppies are laughing.
Quote: rdw4potusYou know, we all keep assuming that better management could save this property. Now they're getting close to the line where things are so bad that nobody better will ever want to be associated with the building no matter what they call it.
With the AC homeless population being what it is, stripped down, I think it could be a National flagship Salvation Army location.

OMG. And stray cat playground!
Quote: teddysJust got an offer for two free nights S-TH and an offer to match any other casino's free play offer, $15-$300.
This offer seems to be seriously lacking baked goods.

I know I was going to fly into AC for a rendevous with a sweet cherry pie :)

Quote: Lemieux66Revel used to send me coupons for 10 dollars in free chips. Not match play, not even direct bet. They just gave me 10 bucks and I left lol
I get those offers from one of my local casinos. Except it's not even chips, it's just cold, hard cash. You go to the kiosk, log in with your player's card, and print off a voucher that you take to the cashier for cash. It's nice! I thought only high rollers got straight cash, but these come in $10 increments and I barely play at this place.
Quote: bwAbout 8 or 9 years ago when AC was doing much better Ballys sent me an offer for $1000 cash. There were people there getting much more than me also. You just went into one of the ballrooms, showed your players card and a drivers license and they opened a drawer loaded to the top with hundred dollar bills and handed me 10 of them. Those were the days.
that's amazing.
Quote: WizardWhatever became of the false advertising charges against the Revel, for burying the "use it or lose it" stream of 20 payments in the fine print?
IANAL, but my perception of those charges is that they were not really viable. I would guess that having it buried in the fine print was good enough to cover their ass from a legal perspective.
Now the cancelling of free play for players who had already lost a bunch: I would like to hear an update on that.

Based on this page:

It appears that the law firm representing the aggrieved parties in the class action is still accepting new clients for the class action, so I would suggest the case is ongoing.
Okay, I found this:

This is the correct case, Attorney Todd D. Muhlstock represents the Plaintiffs. Based on the document list I pulled from RFCExpress, the case is nowhere near being concluded, unfortunately, you have to pay for every individual document. The Justia site simply links to another ECF site.
Quote: bwKind of amusing that one party is named Boyd.
I had the exact same thought. Was confused for a second. Probably would behoove them to use the name of a different plaintiff in the title of the case...
Quote: michael99000Revel but a few people who'd just come from there said it was dead.
It was actually full that day, there might have been only 40 people in the casino area, but there were 3,000 more in the building LOOKING for the casino area.
