Going on a golf outing with a casino host (With a lot of pull) from a large Vegas hotel/casino. Any questions for this person? Don't hold back!

Not sure if what I would ask. - is this a casino outing or are you going because he is a friend if yours?

Are there many hosts who stay with one hotel their entire career? Would he/she rather have one or two "mega-whales", or a dozen "low six figure" players? Was rigging drawings to comp high end players a common practice before the Venetian got busted, or was that really unusual? Was the Terrance Watanabe fiasco more his fault, his host's, or the corporation? 1. I never use a host for anything, because I deem them to be incompetent, and also I am pretty much beating them up in terms of theo so do they offer me anything as a player, or is it still a good idea to stay off their radar?
2. What's deemed "acceptable" in asking for food comps/rooms? I know to always ask but I prefer not to waste time if it's not gonna happen, ie lobster tails and champagne if I'm up $2k or so.
3. Tips: Ok or only implied (such as gift cards or ties?)

One of my hosts in LV just sent me an e-mail saying he has moved onto being an Independent Host. His msg. listed a few dozen properties that he said he can book. I was wondering if these independents can do any more or less than if employed by the actual properties.

That was Steve Cyr that he interviewed. I've met him and his wife a few times, pretty nice people. The book he wrote is called "Whale Hunt in the Desert". A pretty good light read.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Never went due to illness in the Family. I will be in Vegas Feb 21-24 and of course I will write a trip report. Any other questions for the host im golfing with? He has been doing this for 30 years and has a world of insight for all of us. All we need to do is ask.

1) Opinion on the emergence of computerized tracking of play. Further, what trends do they see coming down the pipe or in long range?
2) What is the weirdest request from one of their players (maybe though a concierge)?
3) What do they like best about their job? Least?

How will they operate if too many people know the ADT system? Seems to me many play less to work the system and it's encouraged by the system.
