I guess they are giving away the unsold copies of last year's American Casino Guide. Maybe for collectors or what not. They make it clear that all coupons are expired and the bar code is removed but if you are ordering a 2014 version from there, why not I guess.

Otherwise you need to only pay shipping to get a free copy.

People collect so many things I would be surprised if there was a small number of people that collected these every year for nostalgia or something else. Also could be people that try to pass the old coupons off as current or know people that will take them but that's probably getting into a morally grey area.

If a newbie asked me about Gambling and Casinos, I would definitely recommend reading the short articles in the front of the ACG. They cut through a lot of the misconceptions and myths. Our library usually has the current edition on the shelf.

I don't know if I will get an ACG this year, I will have to look at the list of coupons on-line. I will probably get the LVA membership to get that coupon booklet, even though the Las Vegas Advisor is more expensive.
