You should start a new thread about this ASAP so it would give anyone that is not coming a chance to get in on it if they so chose.
BTW, I am curious what your plans are as far as cashing out. I think you mentioned that you would cash out if we double or w2g. If we put in 500 and we get a decent hit and are at 1200. Do we cash out or play it back down to double?
Also, I would be interested in buying an extra share of $25 (and not getting an extra share of the money) to get the benefit of using my card but I guess that can be figured out at a later date.

lol probably not at all. At least for me. I am just a sucker for point systems. I earned the gold card last month which is good for 6 months and there is not way I will be keeping it on my own. The only reason I get enough points for it was I hit 2 royals in 5 weeks and each time I earned a bunch of points after it as I was giving some of it back.
The gold card gets you into the mini vip room which gets me free bags of chips.

That is interesting though. It sounds like you are local, so if this led to some additional free play offers for a couple of months, it could cover your extra investment. Otherwise, those must be some mighty fine chips.

You can negotiate with the puller(TBD randomly at event with dice) yourself regarding your card being in.
Outside investment from people not there is between them and someone else. I am not willing to take that responsibility.

On a related note, I can't remember if this was stated previously or not, but I'm kicking myself for not realizing until last night that "purchasing" the advanced games on the Meadows WebPass site allows you to collect 1700 points easily every day. It says it costs 750 to unlock them (although 7000 were withdrawn from my account) but you earn 100 points per game just for clicking on it - which is pretty easy with Ctrl+click or middle-click to open them all in separate tabs.

4pm is good for me. I didn't know you could get more points with those games so I will have to check that out.
My wife may not be joining me now. Our sons birthday party is the following week so we really don't have enough money for 2 people to gamble and she would probably just get bored. But who knows she may decide to come anyways.

With a lineup that rivals WoVCon, it surely wasn't my intention to miss it. Just bad timing. I'll have a flask of rum in your honor, and the first ship I comandeer I will do so in the name of WoV East/MidWest/Appalachia ;)
Since no one else is risking any money [perhaps they would on their *own* challenges] I will fill free to wing it at any time, to make changes that make sense. The only unacceptable change will be "not paying" except in the next 2 conditions:
#1 - I might win.
#2 - If more than 3 people tie, the challenge is a bust. It would almost for sure mean *everybody sucked*. If I catch such a winner at the bar, I'll buy you a beer. [If it doesnt mean 'everybody sucked', it means we had 4 or 4+ shooters who had outstanding hands; I should have plenty of money to generously modify the prize instead.]
The deal: $25 award to the shooter with the most passes in a hand; Pierce, RaleighCraps, and Teddy will be acceptable as witnesses in addition to myself of course, should they agree to do so. That group has already established credibility with me and everyone should see why.
A hand's length will be defined the same way the casino does, that is, you roll until you 7-out, then you pass the dice to next player and that is one hand. 7s and 11s on the come out will count as a pass, as well as making 4,5,6,8,9,10 - just the common sense thing of a winner meaning one pass. Participating players should speak up at each pass, saying something like "that's 2 passes, are you with me?" or similar. If a player has the stamina to give himself better chances by staying at the table and playing longer and getting more chances at a good hand, that will be considered fair play.
It's +ev to all but me, since players put nothing up. Winning player has to do it on that Sunday with a witness present. If there are ties, I'll split the money, but see above.

I believe OG is defining a pass as any WIN by the shooter on a PL bet.
So 7 or 11 on a come out roll, or any made point.
Since it is OG's money, it is his rules. This is interesting though, in that a shooter could have a roll where they throw 5 come out 7s or 11s, and never make a point, which would be 5 passes. Meanwhile, another shooter throws for 40 minutes, but never makes a point.
I know which shooter I will be making money on!

I thought about that, but as far as I know, it is the correct definition of a pass. I'd feel bad about somebody who made a bunch of his points getting beat by the above, but wouldn't if no player scored many points. Getting back to that thing about every shooter sucking.
In any case, it does seem that somebody with a good hand always has to make his points, or doesnt wind up with a hand worth bragging about. If I thought that such was observational bias ... I don't ... I'd be concerned enough to change the parameters.
