Summary:
Ten years ago Caesar's AC offers $15 Birthday Free Play coupons, but does not explain the hours correctly. CET then loses a class action suit for multi millions, but is still fighting the judgement......
I think the people should be paid in free play since that is how it was originally. Lawyers too, they get their money in free play. That would be fun to run 2.1 million through a VP in free play.
Recently I got email prepared 'exclusively for (my name)' for a super reward credit multiplier guaranteed 3x or as much as 100x. The email did not show any small print but the mailer sure did. The small print 'All video poker play will be excluded from the promotion'. As I try to schedule my play around some type of promotion or giveaway I would have been disappointed to drive 2 hours and then find out the multiplier to be of no value to me.

Hmmm.... I got thatm e-mail, drove about an hour, played VP, and I am not "disappointed", I am pissed. Maybe I'll take it up with the player's club desk the next time I am there.
HorseShoe Cincinnati and HorseShoe Southern Indiana are giving away a Cadilliac ATS luxury sport sedan tomorrow night. I don't believe there was every any directions on how to earn entries for this drawing. The only thing I saw was that everyone who swipes gets an entry but then I received a card in the mail saying I had earned 1000 bonus entries at Southern Indiana for the drawing. I am wondering if most people are getting the 1000 bonus entries making my bonus entries not worth much. Did you get bonus entries in the mail for one of the car drawings? Both casinos are giving away a second Cadillac ATS on December 21 and if you swipe on December 7, your entries get doubled on December 21. Trying to decide if I should got to this weather/roads permitting.

You actually want the weather to be as bad as possible. So bad that only an idiot would go to the casino. Then you want to be that one idiot. Best case, they hold the drawing and your odds are great. Worst case, they postpone the drawing and you get to pitch a fit about risking your life to attend a promotion that was cancelled.

It terms of general promo EV, this is definitely true. Also it sounds like the weather is tailing off there from what I am reading. So I dunno if attendance will be that poor.
And as for OP, god that makes Harrah's sound ridiculously petty and cheap. I hope they all get their $100.
They even denied players from using a players card for simply winning.

Nope, no bonus entries for us (yet). We have a mailer for Nov, but nothing for Dec yet. We've only been down there a couple of times, so I doubt we are very high on their list.
I went to Horseshoe Cleveland a few times when they were doing a "Car-a-Day" giveaway in Feb, but alas I ended up buying a cheap Chevy instead !
I really want (to win) a new car...Quote: JohnnyQNope, no bonus entries for us (yet). We have a mailer for Nov, but nothing for Dec yet. We've only been down there a couple of times, so I doubt we are very high on their list.

I am about to become direct bet/match play coupon illiterate!
Quote: AxelWolfI did not know about this. This sound bad for the Revel. They defiantly misrepresented the loss rebate promotion. "YOU CANT LOSE"

Not picking on you my friend, and I don't know the complete history of the Revel promo. But I have read one of the admin's. tag lines about needing to beat them in the casino and in court. However, I have read lots of details as told by Mr. Dancer who is very well known and respected in addition to having been a consultant on that special. He said players were caught cheating or otherwise breaking the rules in the fine print that few read, and those were the ones who got clobbered. I've seen others post around that they didn't do that and were just discriminated against because they are APs or winners of some kind, but naturally these are all anonymous people who are not afraid to say anything anywhere. Anyone know the true and real story about this? Has there been anything official announced yet that is 100% true? Or is it all still he said/he said and full of myths?

I can personally say that a number of games and denominations were excluded from the promotion that I was told would be included, so there's at least one direct lie right there. It didn't affect me, but imagine someone making travel plans predicated on being allowed to participate in the promotion while playing any denomination of VP, that person would be understandably pissed.
I don't think Bob said anyone was CHEATING or he would be guiltily of such things himself, so no need to explain who Bob Dancer is. (You should not be miss quoiting people) I started about the same time he did and played some of the same promotions he did. I was absolutely broke($300) with no car when I started. I was only 23 or 24 at the time, Unfortunately, I didn't have backers, like he did. (I believe that had a significant factor in his success, not to take away his intelligence. I did not want to be popular, write books or want to consult for casinos, And yes I was offered the opportunity from a few small places.Quote: tournamentkingNot picking on you my friend, and I don't know the complete history of the Revel promo. One place was mahoney's silver nugget, After dealing with me AP'ing his joint over and over, Gary M approached me made me an offer and asked that I help with semi AP proof promotions ( Small place but you have to start somewhere.) I was very interested in just the promotion part, however I chose my AP friends and partners wallets over mine, so I declined. I had a similar offer at the frontier , but avoided that as well, I didn't want to educate casinos. After inadvertently getting half the floor people canned at the Holy Cow for taking out over 500 scratch card in a shift they made offers as well, I declined.
No need to tell me about the Revel. If you go back and read the Revel loss rebate thread, you will find I was there before and after the promotion started. I did not participate in what I called "shenanigans" I think it caught on. best way to describe it not CHEATING. I was very well aware and watching everything that was going on in the casino, 100k is a lot to lock up in hopes the casino will pay it back.
I figured this shenanigan was going to happen even before I arrived. I knew dam well knew it would not end well.(perhaps it will after all, I doubt it) I called out a few people for being so blatant about it. It looked like a zoo.
I know for %100 fact people were treated the same way at the Revel. People who didn't associate with anyone who was involved in the shenanigans or do anything but play on the square, $100 slot machines. As soon as a significant leak was found in the promotion the casino shut it down. YOU CANT LOSE is misleading at best.

I ASKED about the Revel promotion axel, not TELL you. And yes, I did read posts on another forum where Mr. Dancer mentioned people getting 86ed were caught cheating.
I don't find it unusual that a casino would eliminate certain machines from a lucrative promo, even after claims were made. I,ve experienced that several times with slots, just because they were large progressives. There has always been that pesky small print that few read. But people actually did play in it, they played by the rules, and they got what they were supposed to receive out of it. I know two slot players who did very well with it. When a play of a lifetime comes along like that, strong ap's read and fully understand the rules, they double and triple check on them just before going in, and then they play only according to them. Using vp card-pulling shenannigans or other "system beaters" like using other's cards, teams etc. that were clearly identified as no-nos according to Dancer's writings, was bound to destroy the thing.
Show me where he said, people were 86ed from the Revel. I would like a quote or a link. Give me the date of the show. then tell me at what time he said it. I doubt you can find it. I could be wrongQuote: tournamentkingI ASKED about the Revel promotion axel, not TELL you. .
Then show me where he said it was for CHEATING. I may have missed it. Once again if he claims what they were doing is cheating, he would be guilty of the same type of things. IE, card pulling. I don't want you quoting him, or him quoting someone else. 'Just The Facts, Ma'am" just the facts

Talking about "myths," where was it that you "read lots of details as told by Mr.Dancer"? A link or two would help lend a bit credibility to the assertion about cheating etc.Quote: tournamentkingI have read lots of details as told by Mr. Dancer who is very well known and respected in addition to having been a consultant on that special.
