I had originally posted this in the "Revel looking for an out" thread but thought it more apropos in it's own thread where we could all post our experiences with poor casino customer service...here is what happened to my friend this past weekend

As I was not there last weekend, I do not have any stories of my own but I do have a story of a friend of mine that went there and what happened to him...

This is on a Friday night:

He is a regular there (3x/month) and a friend of mine. He played a few shoes at a $50min. table and then took a break while his nephew played. There were two others at the table and everyone was conversing and having a good time. My friend got up to use the restroom and when he came back, was told by the floor person (who is formerly the shift manager and a nasty SOB who never once found in favor of a player in any dispute) that he could no longer sit at the table as he was not playing and he was 'keeping others from playing'. Not being sure if he was serious, my friend stated that everyone was talking and he was taking a break for a few shoes. As this is Revel, you can surmise that there was nobody waiting to play (this is not the first year Resorts was open where it would be 5 or 10 deep waiting for table spots). By this time, my friend's nephew had stopped playing for a shoe and was also relaxing having a good time talking to the other players. He was told the same thing by Mr. Personality and, being annoyed at this point, they both asked to color in their chips (they had about $1k in green and $400 in green, respectively). They were met with the comment "too late, you had plenty of time to color before now...the cage is over there" (as he pointed in the general direction of the cage).

My friend told me if it was earlier in the evening he would have left. Instead, he stayed the night and left early, canceling the rest of his weekend. He is not a huge player but plays anywhere from $25 to $250 a hand for about 4 or 5 hours a day.

Only at Revel do they consistently not get out of their own way.

These guys truly are their own worst enemies. From the top down this fish stinks!!!

I have said it from the beginning and nothing will change my mind. This property is doomed to failure in its current ownership/set-up.

I would suggest people just don't waste their time. Rather go to borgata where, at least, you know what you are going to get!

To me, the worst part of the story is the pit telling the players that they'd missed their chance to color up. Really?!? I'd probably have bought in right then for every bill in my possession and then taken all of the chips to the cage.

I fully agree with leaving early after this treatment. Sadly, Revel probably sees that as an avoided cost since now there's one less pesky player taking up space in their mostly-empty hotel.
