I like watching my favorite Halloween movies the 10
days before the 31st. My fave is Sleepy Hollow with
Johnny Depp. Every scene is dark and creepy, it really
captures the time of year that Halloween falls on.

I like The Omen, the first Prophesy movie, Arsenic and
Old Lace, The 9 Gates, Constantine, Poltergeist, The
People Under the Stairs (good Wes Craven), even
Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein and Bob Hope in
Ghost Breakers.

A real classic:

"Halloween" with Jamie Lee Curtis. Goes way back, late 70's or very early 80's. Haunting theme music too.

I hate almost everything about Halloween, but I always loved this!

Carrie from the 70's (Cissy Spacek)... haven't seen the new version.
Rocky Horror Picture was the best in that era.

Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St., Jason... take your pick, lots of screams.

Cult favorite Night of the Living Dead (George Romero Original).

Paris Hilton as Miley Cyrus, not fair, cause its Paris reliving her childhood :P

Definitely a classic.

And if you just want a scary movie then the original "Alien" is another classic.
