I posted on JP's board for a while and I also followed up by posting as 'The Truth', '& nothing but' and 'William.S' just for fun.
However, it quickly became apparent that even if you prove something to him (i.e. my proof that splitting Aces yielded at least higher than 50% better results than hitting) he either ignores it or deflects the topic. Added to that, his 5 or 6 devout followers, would blindly agree with JP despite obvious contradictory PROOF.
At the end of the day you can either bang your head against a wall or ignore the ramblings of someone who does not understand pure gambling knowledge in any shape or form - I chose the latter.

patrick and his followers figured out a plan to counter people like you. They created a mythical bogeyman called "mathboys". When ever they couldnt counter a cogent argument...they just dismiss the person as a "mathboy" and beg patrick to delete them.
Patrick claims he knows nothing about math. yet dismisses math as it pertains to gambling. HOW CAN SOMEONE WHO CLAIMS TO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MATH, KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT IT TO DISMISS IT??
still waiting for a patrick follower to show the proof that the long run doesnt apply and that the new patrick BS is an improvement.

I agree, and I dont critisize all the people who decide just to view him as a silly old man, and ignore him.
However as I have a long history of being on the receiving end of patricks lies....I choose to take another path.
when patrick first decided my comments and questions were beyond his scope, he first claimed to delete me for posting under multiple screen names(which was flse)....and then later claimed I attacked his familt (which gets him way more sympathy). He even claimed I contacted his partners to beg them to let me back on.(who are his partners and how whould i know their names and numbers)
If he would only not pretend tohave an open board....all wouldbe well. All he has to do is be honest for once and post the real groundrules of the message board. Rules that state any comments by others that he doesnt understand, or goes against his unproven declarations will be deleted. THAT would show him to be the uncertain, underprepared, poorly educated pretender that he is.
Until he posts those rules....and when he stops referencing me on his board and stops with his lies....I may fall in line with others and let his pathetic little site dwindle down to just himself and his antisemite friend stanton....and just walk away

what does age have to do with it.
Doyle Brunson is that age and I could still learn a thing or 2 from him
but patrick is giving out info that can stand some scrutiny.

I stand by the challenge I issued to Patrick years ago. Take any play where he disagrees with basic strategy and we'll deal that situation to each other as many times as he wishes. For example, splitting eights against a 10. I'll book the bets to him and him to me.
If he wishes we can break this into short sessions. For example, I'll deal the hand 20 times to him, and then him to me. Then we can all leave the room, pretend to tag home, return, and repeat. The last time he said no because my suggested wager per hand was too high. As I said before, I just threw out an example, and will go as low or high as he wishes. However, he kept harping on my example number as reason to decline the challenge.
There is no use arguing with Patrick's followers because they don't believe math is a valid tool to analyze casino games. When I challenged him to put his money where is mouth is, he said "no."
I will say that I think John Patrick is basically a nice guy and I don't mean to attack him personally, other than being mathematically challenged, which I think even he would agree with.

Having read his attacks on anyone who disagrees with him, I don't even think he's a particularly pleasant person. His videos and rants are full of denigration of pretty much everyone else who is not John Patrick.

some misunderstnad my thread. It is not a thread asking if I should engage patrick followers in discussion of patricks theories. Not at it. IT IS a thread about engaging in discussion of patricks declarations.
If people are drawn to this thread to ask "why"...well then that question can be posed on the hundreds of other threads on this site. I WAS NOT ASKING FOR PERMISSION OR GUIDANCE.
I am in fact seeking to engage patrick or his follower in an exchange with or without the permission or "ok" of others.
He has banned me from his board based on content alone, but hides behind lies as the reason I am banned.
So I choose to post here what I would post on his board, in a non flaming manner, without vulgarity, and thats what THIS thread is about.
It was never about If I SHOULD DO IT, and it was never about getting input on IF i should do it.
