Apparently, there's a policy in Vegas where you can't bet on an NBA game if one of the teams is owned by one of the casino's owners (e.g. Roski, the Lakers, and Silverton; Maloof, the Sacramento Kings, and Palms) - but it goes one step further with the NHL in that the Silverton sports book won't take any NHL action, whether or not the LA Kings (also part-owned by Roski) are playing. Anybody know if this is a Gaming Commission decision, or just something Silverton does to keep things looking above board?

Speaking of the NBA and sports books, now that Stern is retired, will the new commissioner allow bets on the Clippers-Nuggets preseason game at Mandalay Bay on 10/19?
