Hi WoV!
Hi ace, you're back!
Quote: sodawaterhow could it be CO poisoning? did the guest bring up a 100-lb gas-powered generator?
I don't know. One local motel had a few people die from it in their rooms. It has been shut down since then, but I think it had something to do with the heating system.
Here is another story found on internet. http://www.wsaz.com/news/headlines/BREAKING_NEWS__Body_Found_at_Local_Hotel_Building_Evacuated_After_Carbon_Monoxide_Detected_138404409.html

Just a guess with limited info available.

Quote: BozUpdate says drugs were found in the room and no fowl play is suspected.
What about foul play?
A male of 56 and his 22 year old plaything from thirty miles away. Possible.
Also possible she worked in AC.
Drugs in the room and no forced entry probably means no accomplices, so if she was a hooker she didn't have a backup looking for her. Yet its hard to envision two simultaneous drug deaths. Kind of hard to believe carbon monoxide being limited to one room and their being a lack of chatter about cherry-red corpses.

That either, but on the boardwalk the pigeons are vicious!

Glad to see the birds are off the hook.

Nothing like living life as a functional illiterate!

So a chicken did not do it. That narrows it down.

Can we be really sure that they weren't smoking?
Quote: treetopbuddyIt would be impossible for drugs to be the cause of death.....drugs are illegal, therefore unavailable.
Prostitution is illegal also. The girl is reported to be from thirty miles or so distant from the guy but she could still be working the casinos at peak times. Maybe too much booze and some very strong drugs as well?

Couldn't be a prostitute either, prostitution is illegal. Somehow the smoke free Noodle Bar will play into this mystery.
Maybe I'll have an aceofspades sighting.
Quote: sodawatermy guess is theyll close the entire 7th floor down for a while. not like they dont have the room.
My recommendation would be to open the 7th floor for smokers

That would replace the smell of death.
Quote: IbeatyouracesCould've been kinky.
You do know the difference between "erotic" and "kinky", don't you?
Using a feather can be erotic. Using the whole chicken is definitely kinky.
Heroin + Cocaine (speedball) + bestiality with a chicken = a "Fowl Ball."
"Pluck me baby, pluck me."
And they are outa here!
Quote: FleaStiffAll our jokes aside, the reports are of large quantities which might well be beyond personal use. They checked in together so it seems not to have been a casino "pickup" or "outcall".
Actually I deserve the jokes based on my mistake on wording.
Quote: MrVWell, AC might finally be at the head of the curve, at least in how to kill yourself while partying in a casino.

Hey - easy on the chickens already :)
Its great to have all the humor particularly in a thread that deals with death. This is an event that could have happened in any hotel in town. The publicity will go to The Revel and its not really good to have such publicity but there is not much that can be done about it.Quote: chickenmanHey - easy on the chickens already :)
Loyal customers will remain loyal pretty much on the assumption that "things happen and you move on". Those who have a bone to pick with that casino will sit there and pick it till doomsday rolls around.
A toxicology report takes up to two months... nothing will happen until then. Most "drug overdoses" are due to contaminants not the actual drug involved. If a needle was involved, it may have had some substance on it.
The town and the casino will recover... with time.
The man was 66 but the girl was 22, so its different with her and her family.
From the description of the amount we can assume commercial quantities which implies knowing transporters and knowing users. No ignorance involved. No team operating at the casino. No "date rape" drug involved. It used to be only women who had to worry about their drinks but in Las Vegas and Atlantic City the Willie Sutton principle applies so males likely to have fat wallets can be the victim of a hooker's or pimp's drug while distracted from their drink.
