Any reputable members wanna make a no risk bet?

So table games seem to be my leak in trying to put a gambling bankroll together for VP. As you can read here in my blog:

"When I got to Vegas my willpower went right out the window. I spent more money on -EV games then a +EV game. I should have been hunkered down at the Palms trying to hit the royal on the FPDW machine, or earning points for the buffet on the 50 line JoB machine. I am going to self-exclude myself from table games in the future. I cannot ask the casinos to do this (I don't want to stop completely, I want to set daily limits), so if anyone is reading this blog I am willing to offer a bounty on myself. If you see me playing at a table game and call me out I will give you $500. If anyone is down let me know, and I'll send pics of myself. I am moving to Vegas in a few months and will usually be at any casino with a FPDW machine (most likely Palms. Great eye candy.) "

I'm trying to eliminate playing them through willpower and of course what do gamblers hate to lose, MONEY! If any members here on this forum who have a great reputation (Wizard are you interested?) want to get in on this, it's very simple.

If you check out to be a long contributing member who can be trusted I will send you a picture of myself. If you spot me in any casino playing a table game (BJ, UTH, any game really) and you let me know you are from WoV I will cough up $500. There is no betting on your part so it's pretty much risk free. I learned an expensive lesson and will only be grinding out video poker from now on. Since I'll be moving to Vegas you'll have plenty of opportunity to spot me around town.

All I ask is that you donate a part of that money to a charity. I prefer Wounded Warriors project since I am in the military, but it's up to you.

This won't work because if you get caught, you'll probably just say you won't pay. You're probably better off figuring out why you lost such as betting too much, expected loss, not using proper strategy, no loss limit, etc. Just don't do it.

Let me know the next time you go. Pay me $500 to keep you away from whatever games you tell me you don't want to play.

Isn't the whole point of gambling to have fun? If you enjoy table games then why would you want to stop playing table games? You don't play +EV games to make a living. You'd be bored. Just enjoy the experience and if Empress Variance smiles upon you, all the better. Bet what you budget and not a thin dime more. If you lose your budget then you suffer defeat which will make the times that you win that much sweeter.

Well I'm excluding myself from table games because I'm trying to grow my bankroll, and all that money is set aside for +EV plays only. To make this concrete so I cannot back out, I can put the money in trust to an admin or the wizard if they want to.

I'm not a big enough gambler to start throwing money on -ev games for fun at the moment, although I enjoy the comps. However I can't collect enough comps to make this a winning play. My bread and butter will be fpdw and a few negative EV games for drawings or point accumulation.

Its something drastic I've decided to do and I will keep my word. I just ask you make a donation to a worthy cause if you win.

You can make more $ at a call center and be equally bored. You can earn enough bankroll at the call center to enjoy table games on occasion. This is how I do it (except the call center part, I don't have the patience)

The best kind of +EV games to play for a living are the ones where you get paid regardless of whether you win or lose. Like professional sports or law (e.g., legislation or litigation). Or if you want to gamble on your abilities, go into commissioned sales (e.g., real estate or enterprise software). I can't see wanting to beat +EV casino games for a living when there are so many better, more lucrative, and lower variance opportunities for someone actually capable of beating them.

Actually the main reason why I'm moving is to go to UNLV, and VP is just a side thing that I'd play not for an income, but for growing the bankroll. There are so many opportunities in Vegas that I want to be there and part of it. Most of my school will be paid for and I set aside a bankroll just for VP.

The problem is I ended up hitting the table games hard last trip, and I need to avoid doing that if I want to grow the bankroll. The only good thing about that is now I have a decent amount of comped rooms which I overpaid for a bit..... So I can live for a month free when I move.

It doesn't sound like a bet. Why not just post your picture here and if anyone recognizes you gambling, you pay them?

It'll give me an incentive to not play the table games, and it's a significant enough amount that I'll make good on the promise. If not some lucky person makes $500!

When are you moving to Vegas?

Middle of June at the earliest, and July at the latest. I still have to work out some loose ends here, but after that it's comped rooms and free buffets! (I actually spent a ton getting them lol)

Nothing worse than a "free" room or meal you lost a few grand earning.
