Five o'clock is wrong, imo. The factorial really needs to be clearly outside the root sign. Otherwise, I thought it was a nice idea.

That is really cool. I'm looking for a clock for my office, and this is perfect! But, isn't sqrt(9!)=~602?

Good catch. I'd suggest White Out above the exclamation point, but does anybody use typewriters anymore?

I'm sure some people on this forum will take exception to 7 o'clock.

1 = I have no idea, but typing "b prime sub l" into Google indicates that it is a common search term, and that it equals 1
3 = the HTML entity for the character '3'
8 = binary 1000 = 8 decimal
9 = I have no idea
11 = the '0x' indicates that what follows it is hexadecimal, and hex code 0B is 11 in decimal

9 = I have no idea

9 = 21 using a base 4 system.

Every hour uses three 9's, except for 1 O:Clock. What am I missing? What does 1 have only two 9's? For example, they could have used 9^(9 - 9) for 1.

Or 9*9/9^2

It's a modular multiplicative inverse. You can't think of it as 0.5 mod 7. Like how (sin^-1)x isn't 1/(sinx).

Basically, solve for x where x=[1 to 7]: 2x = 1 mod 7
The only answer that fits is x=4. So 4 is the multiplicative inverse of 2 mod 7.

No, this uses a "2".
