So let me get this straight they won't be @ the revel overseeing the day to day operations, but will decide what will happen there?

What this tells me is the casino will have a higher payroll and still no good upper mgt.

Jeff Hartmann, who is taking over, had been with Mohegan Sun since 1996 and was president and CEO when he was fired last September. He was well liked but was not tribal. He was replaced by a tribal member. He may be just what Revel needs and I hope he can get the ship back on course. He knows the casino business so let's hope it's not too late.

It was already too late before they even opened
the doors. Bad timing, bad location (AC) and bad
policy (smoke free). A disaster waiting to happen.

Ok let's assume this guy is the best CEO ever. Still don't see how he can make this work. I think AC's market share is just too small.

They're wondering how many of them will lose
their jobs. New management never comes in
and hires people, but they do axe a lot of those
that are there. Its the easiest and most obvious
thing to do to show the people who hired you
that you mean business.

Kevin is easily the most hated man in AC. This is nothing but good news for Revel as the dislike of him and his attitude from Day One cost Revel business. Maybe now they have a fighting chance in a bad market.

PLus, they usually want "their people" on the job.

"DeSanctis and Garrity will retain control of Revel Group, a holding company that still owns the Revel brand, and will continue to license its use in the casino, but the business will no longer be affiliated with Revel once the chapter 11 case has been concluded. Revel Group also will still do work for the casino on “amenity projects,” officials said."

This is hilarious. Is there really a Revel brand? No. It is just a tax/business loophole. I know I would wipe with Revel if they sold Revel brand toilet paper. The slogan could be "We know it doesn't stink, but we invented this just for you."

LOL @ licensing the Revel name. I hope whoever comes out with control after the BK makes that licensing agreement the first thing that goes. Nothing like paying royalties to the clowns whose lack of ability to do anything right destroyed the business and eventually the value of the bonds.

I imagine it is set up to be easier said than done. I am guessing all furniture and fixtures, little ball on roof, carpets, are owned by the brand and to get rid of them, they would have to remove all that and it would be very burdensome and disruptive. This is how the people the NA casinos owe debts have leverage over them to pay and I think they might have used this strategy. Otherwise the brand is worthless without teeth. Mainly speculation, but it seems plausible.
