So I finished a huge appellate brief (18,000 words...I had to get special permission since the appeals court limit is 14,000 words) and I just got the call from the clerk's office approving the extra 4,000 words WOOHOO!

Should I celebrate by heading to AC tomorrow?

That certainly sounds like a good plan to me! I'm sure Borgata would be happy to have you:-)

Ok - I got into AC about 9:30 - a friend of mine has a room at Bally's for the weekend so I am staying here incognito haha

Sat down to play with a guy I like playing with and he remarked that the dealer we were playing with always smiles whether the players win or lose lol (he was joking with her...I think )

So it was up and down for a bit then the dealer won 7 straight from both of us - getting a 21 on 4 of 7 hands

We moved tables and were treated the same - we moved again
At the new table there was a guy playing a 1,4,10 progression - he basically was out within 15 hands (lost the 3k he bought in with)

I lost 5 doubles downs and was down 1900 then the dreaded speed count was in my favor and I bet 300...split 3,3 against a 6 got 10's on both for 13, 13
the dealer proceeded to bust

A few hands later I had gotten back to +$50 haha

I am tired from finishing the appellate brief and the later than usual drive down...more trip reports tomorrow

Sweet dreams :-)

Morning session:

Things went well this morning - although pressing backfired as the dealer
got natural bj the three times I pressed, followed by three naturals for me when I
pulled back
stayed even that session

Afternoon session:

Ran into a fellow "Revel"er at Bally's and we played a nice shoe
nothing to write home about but was plus another 500

What's that, like a 5-mile relocation? Look at it this way -- you'll be that much closer to Black Hawk and Central City.

Have only been playing sporadically today...
highlights
playing with this lady who apparenyly thought my being at the table was bad luck but she continued to play anyway
saw 6 Aces come out on one hand (split Aces got an Ace and other lady split Aces got an ace)

guy at next table drunk as a skunk betting 2k a hand left up 25k but had to be dragged away by friends and nobody in the put wanted him to leave - guess they wanted him to lose it back

And 5 miles further away from Las Vegas. Clifton only exist because it's the first exit to Grand Junction. 1 grocery store, a City Market.
4 liquor stores.

no offense speed cout is a joke... i understand you maybe don't want to do true count conversions by why know learn the KO count.... no True count conversions required. Also for those 6 deck games in bally's to you need to spread a min of 1-12 and wong out.. if you play all you need a 1-30 spread.... to play those blackchip games in AC correctly and spread accordingly you need to have a bj bankroll of 250k min to play the game properly......y don't you play the quarter games in AC and spread wildly or do you still like the rush of gambling?

You can do it with 100K, or even 75K. Anything
less and your ROR (risk of ruin) is very high.
The two biggest mistakes players make is their
BR is woefully small, and their understanding
of the edge they have is all blown out of proportion
in their minds. BJ should be very boring to play
for an AP. If it isn't, you're doing something wrong.

No, boring is making money. If your
regular job was emotionally exciting
every day, you'd soon be burnt out
on it. Slow, steady and boring wins
the money race.
