Quote: KeyserI was banned in AC for roulette. And for what it's worth, skilled roulette players don't waste their time counting cards.
The best AP play is to make a bet that you don't intend to pay if you lose, at least, that's what I've heard.

Are you referring to the Richard Marcus Roulette move, the "Savannah?"

That was subtle. lol
Quote: KeyserState your point.
Very well.
We made a bet in which the terms were me laying 2:1 that Mitt Romney would not achieve 320 (or more) Votes in the Electoral College. Specifically, I wagered $50 to win your $25. Barack Obama won the election outright, therefore, it is clear that Mitt Romney did not achieve 320 Electoral Votes. I attempted to encourage you to take this bet on two separate occasions, witnessed by various Forum Members, and you elected to do so on the second occasion.
You have not paid the $25. You have not contacted me regarding payment of the $25. Further, you have not opened the PM that I send you on or around November 22nd-23rd which is a day after you made one or two posts after being absent for a couple weeks. You were then absent a couple more weeks until today.

Marcus turned this into a reality, his best bet maneuver. The youtube video on the move at 5:08 with Richard Marcus.
This takes nerve, but he retired on this exact maneuver. Because the chip is left in play when it hits, the surveillance review ALWAYS declared it a clean win on the payout, as that is what they review, the payout for that round of play only.
NEVER got caught/arrested/banned until he retired.
Quote: KeyserWhere did I accept your bet? I jokingly said that you should go ahead and send me the money. I also told you that I was using bet trade. Please post a link to the bet, or let me assume that you're joking in attempt to be an arrogant punk. :)
"Sure."
You accepted the bet. Of course, cleverly trying to make it look like the acceptance of the bet was a joke is another good AP move. Of course, I mentioned the bet at other times later (as did others) and conveniently, you didn't deny accepting it then.

That's my post, you accept two posts later.

I mean, the adverb form means, "Certainly," but what do I know?

What was the split in 2010? Does it actually support your claim that the electorate will be more Republican in 2012? Can't help but notice that you conveniently failed to mention what it was...
@ rdw4potus. Perhap didn't realize it, but there wasn't a presidential election in 2010. By the way, don't forget to vote on Nov. 8th! :)
@ Mission 145. Sure. To keep everything hassle free and simple, just go ahead and send me your money. :)
Mission,
I jokingly wrote the above information. No where did I accept your bet. At the time, I even referenced bet trade as being a better option.
Nice try.

It was InTrade, and before my post, and immediately after a bet suggested by RDW4POTUS on Ohio.
Quote: PaigowdanCan we have a binding poll, on this call between you two men?
I'm fine with that.

The prosecution rests. I won't be on tomorrow, so if a separate thread is created for this vote, please link to where the discussion started on the previous page of this thread for my case.

I agree with Dan let the people decide.
Quote: Mission14624Bingo also quoted Keyser's (disputed) acceptance and indicated he wanted to get in on the bet. Keyser did not deny the existence of the bet or state that he was making a joke.

If done, all voters should review the thread.
Some may feel that a non-deal is not an explicit acceptance, others will. You two friends cannot agree; I think there is resolution in this method.
Thank you. Keyser will have my sincere and utmost apology if the voters believe that I misinterpreted him in their majority. I mean that. If it was an actual misinterpretation on my part, then I have acted like an @$$hole towards Keyser. Though I do wish he had responded to my PM, then I'd have mentioned it no further from that point.
Quote: tringlomaneI'm just glad this isn't over more than $25. But I know what points I would be arguing if I represented either party though. I rarely make wagers via forums. And I have to be a bit more cautious now since I got burned a bit this year. My private poker forum did a Mega Millions pool with the huge jackpot in play in March, and a lot of us jumped in on it and bought ~$350 worth of tickets total. I was willing to buy/evaluate them and redistribute the money, but another guy stepped in to do it instead. We didn't win big obv, but he was too damn lazy to collect the $40 of winners we did have to redistribute or whatever... Hell, with behavior like that, who knows if he would have split with us if we actually hit something! And unlike Keyser/Mission, I had met this guy twice before in person!
Yup, you have to be extremely sure with these things, especially when states which do not enforce gambling debts are involved. I do vaguely recall a case in SC I believe where a pool won the lotto, but the lady didn't distribute. She was sued and she conquered and kept all the money, because her state did not enforce gambling debts. It happens all the time, but usually not on such big scales.
My opinion on the bet is it was a bet, because the loser didn't show back up after losing which strongly implies he knew it was a bet and was afraid he would have to pay it. Further avoidance of the topic only makes the case stronger. It just shows the state of mind.
