The LVA Question of the Day on 12/22 included a flyer for the Aladdin from what I assume is sometime in the 1970s, and one of the games it highlighted was Pan (Panguingue). I remember that the times I was in Reno and Tahoe in the 1970s and early 1980s, the poker rooms in the casinos usually advertised "Pan & Poker". Nowadays, however, it's nowhere to be seen. What happened to it? Has Pai Gow pretty much taken its place?

At the larger card rooms in LA you can find a pan game occasionally, and a couple years ago I saw a bunch of old ladies playing Pan at Oceans Eleven in Oceanside.
