Anyone been at a gaming table where someone has been caught cheeting and/or skimming other players chips? (IE: rail skimming, taking winning bets on a crap layout,....Cheeting as mucking cards into play or slipping loaded dice into action?) How did you respond to the encounter and how did the property handle it?

I've been at a table when a short guy with a drink took a position close to the dealer and moments later two very large security guards gruffly ordered him to put the drink down and come with them. No one knew what was up but it was clear that these were no sports-jacket wearing types, they were armed and clearly serious.

I've been at a table where there were warnings about "last profanity or your out" and warnings about "splashing chips onto the dealer's layout" that clearly were the last warning that would be given.

Usually a crew is not going to say 'someone just took (or tried to take) chips from you'. The crew would say "keep your chips stacked closer together' or something like that. If the crew sees a railbird that is a matter of casino security, if the victim didn't detect it, the casino won't usually tell him.

And ofcourse I've been at a dice table where someone was capping bets and putting a new field bet out there so fast that she was getting paid on it by the dealer who didn't realize it had just been put out there, but no one said anything since I was tipping the crew like mad.

I was playing craps once and did not know or realize that someone had stollen chips out of my rail. A casino supervisor came up to me and apologized for the incident (which I did not notice) and gave me just over $1200 in stollen chips. I guess it had happened about 30 minutes prior and they caught the guy as he walked to another table. They had him on surveillance for over an hour.

I did have to sign for the returned chips. My host and the casino manager stopped by and appologised profusely later that day. I am sure I would have noticed ay some point, but at that moment I was thinking, "You want to give me money? Okay."
