Highest priced painting sell for 100 million plus. My feeling is out of the choices above, I think the King Tut's gold mask would fetch the highest dollar. My estimate is 700 million if it came up for auction. This is a total guess. It has 24 lbs of gold which at todays scrap metal price would be worth $567000.

At somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of a billion dollars this painting of two card players was bought by the Royal Family of Qatar It was painted by Cézanne somewhere between 1892 and 1893 as one in a series of four.
The Mona Lisa was insured for $100 million 40 years ago. Today it is not insured as the French government would rather spend the money on security systems instead of insurance premiums. It is theoretically valued at over a billion dollars.
I think that the statue of David by Michelangelo would command more than the mask of King Tut.
Theoretically, some of Greece's priceless statues could come up for sale to help relieve the national debt. One of the most famous is this 2500 year old scultpure of either Zeus or Poseidon (no one is sure).

I've seen cat vomit that was more aesthetically pleasing.
I wonder how many people like it because, well, it is famous and you are supposed to like it.
I'd rather have some impressionist work, or a contempory Peter Max piece.

Just thought I'd point out that 24lbs of gold is closer to $470,000. 1 pound = 12 troy ounces which is what the gold prices are based on.
Quote: AZDuffmanLet me be honest on the Mona Lisa. I don't get it. I don't really even like it.
I just mentioned the Mona Lisa, because it is the only piece of priceless art that I could find some sort of estimated value.
Personally, I think that the Statue of David would command the highest price of any artwork. If for no other reason than women are tired of looking at men who are built like:
i voted for king tut, having seen him in person twice in 77 and 10.
have not seen the others personally.
