Question for the roulette trend guys. Lets say red has hit 9 times in a row. I guess we could call that a trend (future, past or present, whatever).
Question being......lets say red has hit 15 of the last 20 spins. We'll throw in one zero and four blacks, kind of scattered around.
Would you still say red is the current trend OR is the definition....it must be all back to back reds?

I think it depends on how long back you look. Like, with stocks, people look at 100 day, 50 day, and 20 day moving averages to try to find value in the current market.
If you look back all 20 spins, red would clearly be the trend. If you look back 10 spins and all 5 non-red spins are in those 10, it's less clear. If you look at the last 5 spins only, maybe 3 are black.
I guess stock prices are serially correlated, while roulette spins are not, but it's the same basic idea.

Depends upon the TYPE of trend. Purely a mathematical trend...sure. A trend relative to the ball's behavior as relates to potential dealer signature or wheel bias...nope.

Yessir. But you know that most people here would tell you that it doesn't mean anything.

If you bet one unit on red and 2 on black, that will instantly become a positive trend.

It doesn't mean much. By the time you notice its a
trend its usually almost over.
