(I expect we'll get the official announcement after the Market close today.)
Quote: TheBigPaybakFor those interested in Shuffle Master, I see they have finally launched their interactive free games- first impressions are good!

Looks like fun!
Thanks for posting it.

Sure thing- and I'd be curious to hear from others how the graphics and play stack up to what's currently out there. As a rule, I do not gamble on the Internet, so I'm not familiar with the current state of the art. That said, what they've produced does look slick in my opinion!
Quote: TheBigPaybakDoes their software work on iPad- can anyone with an iPad check?
I just checked..... It does not work. It requires Adobe Flash

Right- I was wondering if they had a fallback for non-Flash supported devices. The answer appears to be no, at least for now. Thanks for checking...
That little boat graphic is the same as the boat that's printed on the felts of a real table.Quote: Nareed...the little boat in the War layout is cute.
I would assume that most of the graphics are the same. After all, they own the games and the logos.
But what the heck is with that 1:5 bet spread?

I hadn't noticed. Every time I see a Casino War table, I just smile.
But the boat in the website game does a little cannon shot when there's a tie.

Yeah, that's rather odd. In some games you can play, say, $100-$500 but still bet less ont he side bets.
Just played. I noticed on 3CP that my hard disk starts spinning at full speed and doesn't slow down until I close the app. I'm not at all happy about that. I assume it's doing some local caching of graphics. Also, I noticed that it puts a cookie into my system to record my data from my session. This seems a little much, given it's just a trial game.Quote: TheBigPaybak- first impressions -

Just went there with Linux with an old Flash 9... no action here! I'm sure this programming fills Java folders with much non-recyclable trash. jars and files need to be wiped after use (and flushed).
Windows/Flash at its finest!
Quote: TheBigPaybakWhile I don't gamble online, I do enjoy these SHFL free-play games to get a feel for some of their newer games. Right now, they're still working things out as there are obvious patterns that occur when playing. One thing that would be neat, not sure if it's a feature common to other online games, would be a "squeeze" feature- where instead of just seeing your cards all at once, you could squeeze them out, like you can playing real cards. At least with their online games, there's a little suspense as the cards are flipped, but I'd still like a "squeeze" feature, especially if they were to ever launch single-player multi-game units for their card games. Is th
is a feature other online games have, that people know of?
VIP Baccarat app has a very realistic squeeze feature.
Definitely something that could be offered.

FWIW, SHFL Interactive team- and the SHFL team who does their electronic tables- offering a squeeze feature is something to consider- even if you time-limit it!
Have they killed the free online stuff now, or perhaps hidden it somewhere else?
Quote: ECoasterI used to like playing around with the table games on the playshfl.com site. It was a nice place to practice Pai Gow, etc... I haven't been there for awhile, but it looks like that URL now directs to a general sales page for Scientific Games.

Pretty sure that function has been disabled and the demos taken down. I liked them, too.
EDIT: used this link and looked around some. There are demos available on a couple of the games that appear to be the same as those from when the site was free. However, to use them you now have to have a client ID and password to sign in. So, I would say they're gone.

It's a shame... and I don't get it.
Anyone who would bother to play those games for fun probably goes to casinos, and those same people would probably be more likely to play the games in person if they learned how they work for fun online.

Anybody that's interested (including you, EC) send me a PM and I'll help you get to at least a few of the games. They're still around...
