I normally end up on the corner between centrist, liberterian and liberal. Which generally fits me (I used to be much further away from the centre corner, and more of anarcho-syndicalist).
What, you think the Tin Man and the Scarecrow didn't have a little thing on the side?

I generally hate the term 'liberal' as it has different connotations throughout the world, even within the English-speaking portions. In the way DG uses it, the Libertarian position would indeed be similar to the 'flaming liberal' position with respect to social issues. Liberal should in no way mean leaning towards socialism or authoritarianism, but it seems that is how it is construed in the States.
Quote: progrockerI think that quiz is overly simplified and has many answers that are not mutually exclusive to the other responses. I prefer this test (which itself has many faults):

Cheers, I had been looking for that site as well, not used it for a long time..
If anyone cares my results were (today) :
Economic Left/Right: -4.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.79
Must have been the weather as my Economic Left/Right I'd have described as more centre than that.
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.23
About the same as when I usually take it. Hooray Anarchy!
Quote: chookThey should have a much simpler test, than this, for people from Kansas.
Economic Left/Right: -4.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.38
I found this test much easier ... except for the questions that made no sense ... what I found is that many of the questions were "leading" and needed to be re-read several times to be correctly answered ...
Based on the values above, I think thecesspit and I should be friends. If only I new what a "cesspit" was ...

Which you wouldn't have been if you hadn't seen "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

Go figure. I'm a liberal. Who would've thunk?

You'll never believe me, but I'd read about the anarcho-syndicalist in Spain before seeing the Holy Grail :)
Still, that is one of my favourite bits of that film...
