he deserves to die there.
i truly hope Penn State University is made to pay millions.
He will most assuredly die there, unless he is victorious upon appeal. The minimum sentencing guidelines of the crimes for which he was found guilty would put him in there for sixty years.
Quote: avargovI don't think he will have to wait and die of natural causes. He won't last a year. They frown on child molesters in prison. He will get the punishment he "deserves"!
Yes, my guess is there will be some, "Rhythmic slapping," involved.

Unfortunately, not in Nevada. There was a case of a child assault and murder at what is now the Primm Valley casino. A witness to the event never said a thing, but was never brought to justice because he broke no law.

Other prisoners may get him eventually, but I think it's unlikely he will be allowed in the general prison population.

Nor is it a crime in Pennsylvania, unfortunately.
As later stated, it would be a crime in my State of Ohio. A failure to report any felony would.

It could be even worse for Mrs Sandusky. In PA, people who do work with kids can easily fall under what is called a "mandated reporter." If you try to become a foster parent you often have to take training that leads to this status. One person I know works with kids and one I used to was a foster parent and they told me how it worked.
If you fall under this level it does not even have to rise to the level of rape/molestation. All kinds of abuse must be reported. I do not know if she would have been put under this statute, but based on how much work he did with kids he likely got such training. If they ever took kids into their home it is very likely they both fell under it.
What I want to know is how come the wives always seem to ignore this for years? Do these guys intentionally or subliminally attract a certain kind of woman? Or are there threats? Why?

After some searching I discovered this:

Below his entry:
Quote:The Sherrice Iverson bill
Sherrice Iverson's murder led to the passage of Nevada State Assembly Bill 267, requiring people to report to authorities when they have reasonable suspicions that a child younger than 18 is being sexually abused or violently treated. The impetus for the bill stemmed from the inaction of a witness, and friend of the murderer, who stood by and did nothing during the commission of the crime.
The "Sherrice Iverson" bill, introduced by Nevada State Assembly Majority Leader Richard Perkins (D-Henderson), provides for a fine and possible jail time for anyone who fails to report a crime of the nature that led to the creation of the bill. The bill was enacted in 2000.
I know you cannot trust wiki 100% but I found several legislative websites and news articles that back up that these were in fact passed in NV. It appears that both are now misdemeanors passed solely based on the horrific crime in Primm that mention.
This was in the news recently, because there was a father who killed a man he caught molesting his 5 year old daughter. In Texas, a man is still supposed to protect his family, so I don't think this would have ever made it past a grand jury even if we didn't have this law.
from sandusky's POV, optimal strategy would have been to off himself on the outside before being convicted once these charges were brought up. too many charges to have any chance of beating them especially when he was aware he did commit them. im sure he spent loads of money on legal fees and will now owe restitution to the victims and their families. if he just offed himself he could have avoided all that and had his money go to his family instead.
Quote: rudeboyoiO/U on how long it takes someone to kill sandusky in prison? doesnt matter if hes in PC or not, one of those guards is going to turn a blind eye and let someone get to him at an oppurtune moment. any lifer would love to get the credit for killing such a highprofile chomo too.

Sandusky is way to high profile for general population. He will be housed in the special sex offender unit.

Maybe not but his odds of survival go way up if he is not in GP.

I do not see him getting killed right away if at all. He has too much money, the AB or COs or some combination would do better to shake him down.
"Hey, Jerry, must be tough on your wife what with you in here! Would you like we should have a few of our "brothers" stop by for a visit to make sure she is OK?"
And they may take more pleasure is drawing it out. Feed him every few days, let him know the food is OK because "we have a 'five minute' rule where if we pick it up off the floor in less than five minutes it is OK to serve."
Anyone ever do some sort of financial analysis on all this? How much money did he bring in to the university while they let him get away with more and more scandalous activity versus how much they will now have to pay out?
Anyone factor in the cost of the trial and the cost of all this tiresome publicity?

He brought in absolutely no money to the university. I couldn't name one defensive coordinator in all of college football. How many wins does a defensive coordinator bring to a school versus a different defensive coordinator? I'd say he was completely replaceable.
