They have a hard row to hoe. Last time I was there, the casino was dead, dead, dead. They are going to have to try hard to attract more players.

There is a great British pub, the Queen Victoria, in the back. Prices are steep, but you can get a comp there.

I guess that proves the fact that I'm a contrarian. Last time that I was there, I rather enjoyed the vacuous crowd free environment. You know what annoyed me? Circus Circus!
Someday, joor goin' to see the name of Googie Gomez in lights and joor goin' to say to joorself, "Was that her?" and then joor goin' to answer to joorself, "That was her!" But you know somethin' mister? I was always her yuss nobody knows it! - Googie Gomez

It sounds like this CEO recognized the Riviera, it's problems and all, and is on the right track to fix it.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

"From some ago:
I came across a press release type thing about The Riviera now having a competitive edge because it offers 3x4x5x odds in craps. And, of course, the press release thing used my favorite Truth In Advertising phrase "the odds are in your favor".

And what on earth is this about the Riviera now having "a competitive edge"? They went from a super-stingy 2x odds to the normal and customary 3x4x5x odds that is available at just about half the casinos in Vegas. So you tell me, just what sort of a competitive advantage is that?"

Okay, it seems they are going for major changes and maybe they really have their backs to a wall and have to change. I hope it works out.
