I'm going to be staying at Paris for a week starting on Tuesday. I'm bringing with me a Las Vegas noob. What free to inexpensive yet non-seedy things would you suggest that I show him given that we'll be there a week, have a rental car and nothing planned? Well, one thing planned. We are going to see Absinthe.
Someday, joor goin' to see the name of Googie Gomez in lights and joor goin' to say to joorself, "Was that her?" and then joor goin' to answer to joorself, "That was her!" But you know somethin' mister? I was always her yuss nobody knows it! - Googie Gomez

I have a list of "Vegas for Free" activities that I use as reminders of things to do while in town. I got it off one of the web sites. There is too much for me to post in a thread, so I'll just paste the titles here. If you want details on any of these, let me know. These may not be the most exciting things in town, but none of them cost a cent.

Bellagio gardens with violins and harp and 26 foot windmill.
Orleans Gift Shop Special on 30tth or so of March. Limit two gifts per person.
Palms: 50 dollars of play for 25 dollars to NEW club members, 40 in play for present club members.
I'd say head to the Eastside Cannery for a million dollars and the Cannery Girls but its only photographs of the Cannery Girls. Alas.
I understand that if you drop by the NY,NY High Limit Area Bar with the ever-changing name, you are likely to run into a recent Radio Guest known as Cocktail Dolly. I'm sure she will have some suggestions for you but the first one will be Give Me A Tip.

The LONG walk. Start at Stratosphere and end at Mandalay Bay. Expect to be out all day. Stop anywhere and everywhere. When we did it over a decade ago we stopped and picked up a 'slot cup' in every casino.

Can you post a review of Absinthe on here? Or at least a blog post or PM me about it? I was in Vegas last year and the show looks fascinating. If it's good, I want to see it while at WoVCon.
