Where is the passage from the Cosmopolitan to Aria?
Quote: s2dbakerAria and the Cosmopolitan are close to each other yet .......
......they're owned by different companies. (insert cartoon of lightbulb above your head) They will never be linked the way Excal>Luxor>MB are linked until MGM buys Cosmo in bankruptcy court. Then you'll get your moving walkway skybridge to Bellagio and Aria. Perhaps MGM will sell Aria just to buy Cosmo.
Whatcha think, paco?
Quote: s2dbakerIn Atlantic City, Resorts, Taj and Showboat are linked together with skywalks. If those three can make it happen then I figured that it could happen in Las Vegas as well.
It does. There's a walkways over Flamingo Rd. connecting Caesars to Bellagio. I don't know if there are any other examples.
Then again I'm the last person who should comment on this. Last trip I was unable to find the Strip exit at Monte Carlo. I've no sense of direction and I get lost easily.

Not the same at all. Those were built by the city to get the throngs of drunken tourists off the roads. Not like the way Ballys/Paris are connected, or Wynncore, or V/P or the whole Excal/Luxor/Mandalay Bay. OP asked why adjacent casinos were not connected in some way.
I'm kind of shocked TI and Mirage are still connected by that damn monorail, given that they are owned by different entities now.
I missed that completely. Where does that dump you in the Cosmo?Quote: teddysIt's actually quite easy to get to the Cosmo by taking the Aria monorail to the Bellagio stop. You can go right into the back of Cosmo from there

I remmeber too much walking was needed to use that monorail. Same in the Excalibur/Luxor/MB complex. It seemed a shorter walk door-to-door or using the passages connecting the casinos.

On first glance it does seem that way. On second glance, isn't the lack of other casinos nearby what helped kill the northern end of the Strip? Sometimes having a competitor nearby can be good for business.
A skybridge to Planet Hollywood also branches out of the same entrance. See this Google satellite photo.
At the far west end of the complex, nowhere near the casino but close to the buffet and the West Tower. Can easily walk through the complex to the Strip.Quote: s2dbakerI missed that completely. Where does that dump you in the Cosmo?
