All I have to say is whaaaaaaaa?
In other words, this policy should provide cover for counters that want to play unrated. ;/

Haha, good luck with that at Cosmo.
For example, with MLife, you don't get "points" for table play like you do slot play, but you definitely get credit for it.
I'd assume that this is similar, there is just no standard 1 point=$20 wagered rule anymore.
Quote: SigsevYes, I'm sure comps will still be available for table games, but it seems bizarre that they wouldn't give tier status to someone betting $20,000 a hand at baccarat, for example. I was going to spread some action there next trip to see if I could generate any offers, but now I won't bother. I thought one of Blackstone's goals was to increase casino revenues. This seems counterproductive to that.
If comps are still available and all you want are offers... Why is this a reason not to try?
Won't this just discourage high rollers from playing there? This is dumb.
This is a generic response template that can be used for each and every policy the Cosmo has ever had or will ever have. It has been the most changeable and unfocused casino in town. Its a Strutters and Gawkers place where the Swells and Botox Beauties are outnumbered only by the various policy memoranda that keep fluttering about the place.Quote: hitthat16Yeah, that's... weird. Won't this just ..........................? This is dumb.
In the past Identity Points could be used for free play on slots and VP, even after being earned at a table. Perhaps this is what they are talking about.
But the way they posted it, who knows?
They also changed the amount needed to earn a point from $1.50 to $2.50 on slots. However they did reduce the VP number from $7.50 to $6.
Positives are great dining options and best rooms on the strip. Decent HL room action if you find the right machines. I've had a number of HPs over the years there.
I like the Cosmo especially since they are part of the Marriott chain. I'm disappointed in the changes they've made as well with Identity, but my wife always made out better on the slots than I did at the tables for points. I've made the most points by billing to my room, the 5x multiplier counts for tier status unlike slot multipliers. I agree with you, they definitely have excellent rooms and dining in my opinion, have to work on keeping my gold in order to keep the offers coming.
Quote: jeffwarren75Well I'm platinum there but not much longer- they have changed their mail and the offers are almost non existent at this point
Yeah, I've seen a decline in the value of my offers as well. Still getting a lot of concert tickets, but not as good room offers or free play.
