I got this offer in the mail a few days ago:
Valid July 17-August 9 2012
*Enjoy two comped nights in a "residential-styled living space high above The Las Vegas Strip" (I.E. a converted condo that they haven't been able to sell).
*Receive your choice of $150 in Visa Gift Cards, Identity Play or Promotional Chips for the first 10,000 Identity Points earned on select slots, video poker, or table games. Plus receive your choice of $100 in Visa Gift Cards, Identity Play or Promotional Chips for every additional 10,000 points earned.
Now, when I got home from Vegas on the trip where I signed up for Identity, I tried to register my account on their website so I could check my points balance. Alas, when you try to do this, you get this page, which has been showing "Under Routine Maintenance" for months. I did get a separate mailer from them which listed my current balance of Identity Points, and I foolishly shredded it without making a note of the balance. However, given that I only gave them a few hours of green-chip craps play, from my vague memory of that points balance it seemed like this gift card offer could be worthwhile.
Has anyone else gotten this or a similar offer, and have any insights into the Cosmo's point-accruing schedule?

I get the sound of crickets from them. I throw hundred dollar bills at their slot machines and nothing.
Someday, joor goin' to see the name of Googie Gomez in lights and joor goin' to say to joorself, "Was that her?" and then joor goin' to answer to joorself, "That was her!" But you know somethin' mister? I was always her yuss nobody knows it! - Googie Gomez

I occasionally get mailings from them -- little ad booklets about 5x7. I found two of them in my desk, one for this summer and one that's been gathering dust since last winter. The summer one says I have accumulated a grand total of 547 Identity Points. I suspect that is worth about 54¢. Or less. It tells me about the variety of things I can spend money on if I were to stay there. The one from last winter offered "two complementary nights in a Terrace Studio." I have to think they sent that one without looking at anything but my mailing address. It said, "To reserve your complimentary 2 night stay, please contact your casino marketing executive...." Like I have a host at the Cosmo.
I've only played there once ever, right as they opened, and I too found it impossible to register my account on their web site.

Anyone have any luck reserving a "comp" room there? Those might be the only rooms worth taking up an offer on...they are really spectacular, especially if you can get a balcony overlooking the Strip.

It looks like my ship at Cosmo has finally come in. Got an offer:
"Blah Blah Blah two free nights blah blah unparalleled luxury blah blah $100 identity play." Good through Jan. 31.
I took the Wizard's advice and kept my out of state address and ID. Looks like it's paying off. I wish my folks would stop throwing out my casino mail though!
