I was just wondering if anyone knows if the $3 minimum craps table is always going at Casino Royale? I have heard that the table is always really crowded so on my upcoming trip to Vegas I was planning on trying to get on a table early in the morning (like 6 AM). However, I have been told that Casino Royale does in fact close the $3 craps table very late at night and re-opens it around 8-9 AM. I am just trying to figure out the best time to play with respect to being able to get on the $3 table quickly.
Thoughts?
Thanks!!
Hooters has a $3 table "24/7" as their sign proclaims.
It's only one table and the rules are terrible though.
I'm from the Eastern time zone so 6AM Las Vegas time is my 9AM so I'm typically at the $3 table at 6AM Vegas time. From my experience, Monday and Tuesday has the $3 table open at 6AM and there is usually one or two people playing when I arrive. Is that due to the previous night's leftovers? I don't know. Wednesday and Thursday at 6AM the table is usually $5. By about 6:30AM, I typically have the table to myself and I often play the dark side as I'm shooting.
The table seems to shut down typically after I leave at about 7-7:30AM until 10-11AM. When it re-opens it usually does a fairly steady business during the day, but not super crowded. The evenings are busy. I've always managed to squeeze in as long as I'm willing to wait 5-10 minutes for a spot to open up regardless of the time. If you're going with a group of friends then you'd be better to play in the early morning.
I have less experience with Friday to Sunday as my typical trip is Sunday to Thursday.
Be warned that a $3 minimum gets you 20x odds. To get the 100x odds, you must bet a minimum of $5. I believe they're stingy on the field too with 2 to 1 on both 2 and 12.

Quote: ahiromuLast September they had $3 tables on a Fri or Sat night (it may have been after 2-3am). Just a note though, they have since lowered the odds to 20x for every denomination (used to be 20x on line bets below $5).
Really? No more 100x odds on a $5 minimum?
Not that I ever too advantage of it, but the 100x odds was a nice advertisement for them.

I am unable to give you any proof further than that right above this post, however, I distinctly remember someone here bitching about the change between September (my last time at CR) and now. It was an awesome advertisement, I think I went above $100 on a $5 PL once or twice. Liberating to have that option.
Quote: PBguyI just looked at their website and it says 20x odds.

I'm a little sad now. One of my dreams, if I could ever afford it, was to walk into Casino Royale and plunk down a $5 bet and then follow it up with $500 odds regardless of what the point was.

sad that after a decade, CR removes 100x odds :(

I, too, wanted to do 100x. but not plunking down $. anyone could do $5/$500 odds. I wanted to press from 10x to 100x.
max I ever got was 75x.
if I wanted to plunk down $, I would have done it at Rivera's 1000x odds.
$5 don't/$6000 odds
thats 2 things on my bucket list i'm still hoping i'll be able to complete.
btw- does CR allow PUT bets again?
(they canceled put bets because a few people have hit and run them.
ie: PUT $5/500 across, after a couple of hits, quit)

That isn't too much different from doing something like $3200 across; not sure why they would care all that much.
Lightning like that rarely strikes twice.
Started with PL and placed six and eight for twelve each; he was doing OK, so I started making fairly (not continuous) come bets, increasing my odds as I climbed the ladder.
It was refreshing to bet $3 on the line, and $50 as odds.
Too bad they only have ONE craps table any more.
Worth the visit, IF you like to take advantage of 20X odds (MSS offers 20X odds as well, but with a higher minimum bet).

Eastside Cannery had 100X odds for a while. They are down to 10X.

omg.. they are down to 1 craps table?!
whats in place of the other craps table? and what happened to the 3rd table aka Craps tub?
Back when there was more than one, the place was hopping.
With only one, not so much.
Weird.
Quote: MrVI asked the crew why they got rid of the other table (there were two last time I was there, and IIRC three prior to that) and he said he didn't know why.

People prob assume it is always full and don't walk in.
As for the other poster, last time I looked at Casino Royale it was Blackjack Switch and Free Bet Blackjack (6-5). There were no regular blackjack games. That was December though.

It could have been the other way around. There weren't enough people so they got rid of a table.
Oh, and for those of you who were from Back East and now live somewhere in the SW... CR has a WHITE CASTLE!!!! I was so excited! lol Sadly, no clam strips any more (do they still have them back east?) but the burgers and such are the same and they now have a breakfast sandwich (either a regular cheese slider w/ a fried egg (yoke broken) or a sausage slider w/ broken yoke fried egg). Very tasty! And the WC is along the north wall... runs from the door in that corner toward the food court but is a dead end (meaning it doesn't join up w/ the food court area).
Didn't do as well at the tables as I'd have liked but did come home w/ more than what I went with and had FUN and some really good rolls (a couple 20-30 throw rolls) so it was a worthwhile trip. :-)
Quote: DeeDeeNAZJust got back from playing there this weekend. They have two tables, closer to the "food court". Still 100x odds, $5 minimum. ($3 is not coming back, according to the few folks I spoke with about it, not even during the week, sadly) and the crews are just as friendly and helpful as always. :-)

I really enjoyed hitting up the White Castle on my last trip to Vegas. I was hoping there would be one within striking distance when we moved to Greater Boston. Alas, the closest locations are in New York State!
OK, I gotta ask. What is the difference between White Castle and Krystal. I used to think they were interchangeable, but I've never been in a White Castle and suspect I was, once again, mistaken.Quote: AcesAndEightsI really enjoyed hitting up the White Castle on my last trip to Vegas. <edit> nevermind the question, I looked it up on my own, I have enough info. I will try a White Castle burger if/when I get a chance, or try 6 or so of them. I've already eaten way too many Krystal's ;-)
Pshaw.
A "true Atlantan" would have mentioned The Varsity, not Krystal.

Yeah, but Krystal is the White Castle ripoff. Ate it once in ATL...never again. They sucked imo. But Joey Chestnut has eaten 103 in 8 minutes!
And Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas ate 80 McNuggets in 5 minutes. The Wizard would definitely lose with her!
The mustard and the pickle are the two best ingredients.Quote: rushdlOK so Krystal has mustard on it. That's it.
I'll fit right in, added to my bucket list ;-)Quote: IbeatyouracesWC is where the drunks go at 12 and 2am

And to respond to Mr V: Nice try, and I do like the chili dawgs, with extra onions Pls.
But it's more like 'wadayahav' more of a one word garbled expression, that is heard no where else but the one and the only (OK, there's at least 3 locations now), the one and only Varsity. If we ever get legalized casino gambling past dem (us) Southern Baptists, there absolutely positively has, HAS, to be some sort of a Wizard's challenge held at the Varsity. 2F
<edit> Did I mention that I like them Dawgs? Bring on the casino Gamblin, bring on the challenge. I like them Dawgs...... I'd regret taking my winnings from a challenge, I'd regret it until I got the deposit receipt, then I'd just look forward to another day. Hopefully I'd wake up the next day, but you never know....

Couple questions:
Does Casino Royale offer $5 craps even on Friday/Saturday nights?
Also, are there still $5 tables at O'Sheas (LINQ) or Margaritaville (Flamingo)?

casino royal is $3 min but 3/4/5x odds now (as of aug 2016).
:(
Don
Same crew, same crowd, lower odds ( not that I'm a big player who could take advantage of 100x odds.)
Played $3 dice at Ellis island last Christmas. Still local enough to be called middle aged las vegas if you are looking to initiate some friends. Crew was ok. Call for times ( good luck with that)--be warned,. cabs can be hard to come by at EI for some reason we got skunked on two visits. I might have to fold and try a ride share service next time
With $5 games starting to go the way of 3:2 blackjack, I believe Casino royal might add another table at some point. Dice traffic is hard to judge, harrahs had $15 tables (!) this last trip, seemed dead with all the players surrounding a ten buck throw.
I did catch a $5 game over at the LINQ,, so who knows what's next to attract gamblers. or the midset of the management.
odds will continue to long as venues feel that they don't need gambling to turn a profit.
