I am copying the "net revenue" (i.e. after comps removed) for the largest properties on the strip
For CY2010 in $,000
$1,296,556 Wynn/Encore
$1,213,046 Venetian/Palazzo
$1,035,787 Bellagio
$ 926,232 MGM Grand/Signature Towers
$ 734,361 Aria Hotel and Casino (not entire City Center)
$ 718,778 Mandalay Bay/THE Hotel
But Ceasar's corporation only gives a "regional revenue"
$2,834,800 Ceasars Corp. Net Revenue for City of Las Vegas (after comps taken out)
$1,544,400 Ceasars Corp. Gaming Revenue for City of Las Vegas
Which has to cover Ceasars Palace, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, Flamingo/O'Sheas, Bally's, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Rio, Bill's Gamblin' Hall.
Where do you suppose Ceasars Palace Ranks in the mix?
======================
Smaller properties for comparison
======================
CY2010
The Mirage $557 million
Luxor $316 million
New York-New York $245million
Excalibur $250 million
Monte Carlo $224 million
Circus Circus Las Vegas $183 million
Sum $1,775 million

I'd say above MGM Grand, because even though MGM is a larger property, the heavy hitters go to CP before the MGM.

I can't even find an old CP estimate of revenue. At least it gives you some idea what it is today.
MGM-Resorts | 2010 | 2004 |
---|---|---|
Bellagio | $1,036 | $1,069 |
MGM Grand Las Vegas | $926 | $861 |
The Mirage | $557 | $566 |
New York-New York | $245 | $337 |

Quote: gofaster87I dont know about that. Most people I talk with consider CP crap since Harrahs took over.
Yes. I imagine such sentiments affect whales and Near-Whales but probably has little effect on Tourists or anyone who does some green and black chips and clings to memories of the past and continues to play at Cesar's Palace.
One bad thing about the corporate name change for Harahs is that when I saw the headline about Cesar's going to the dogs ... I thought OMG, they are going to let dogs into Cesar's Palace.

I did a quick google search and the only thing I can find is the 3rd qtr of 2004 results which states for Caesars...
At Caesars Palace, net revenue in the quarter rose to $140 million from $125 million in the third quarter of 2003. That kind of numbers would only clock in at 560 million for the year in 2004 if it was consistent quarter to quarter.....

Thank you, that would put Ceasars Palace on par with Mirage that year. I think it might still be below Mandalay Bay even today.
Mirage Casino
$602,566 - 2001
$571,305 - 2002
$579,897 - 2003
$566,276 - 2004
... didn't post individual casinos
$720,682 - 2008
$624,132 - 2009
$557,531 - 2010

Part of the reason I asked this question because if I attach average strip revenue to the slots and tables at Ceasar's Corporation in Vegas, I get within a few percentage of the total gaming revenue in their SEC report.
Now either Ceasars smaller properties are doing well below average, or Ceasars Palace is simply doing a little bit better than average. However, the corporation seems to get solid revenue from Harrah's Reno, Harrah's Laughlin, and Harrah's Lake Tahoe. It doesn't seem likely they are doing below average on their smaller casinos.
