A lot of players at Rincon this weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) have several free play promotions that all came bunched together. Unfortunately most of the free play can only be redeemed between 8am and Midnight which means for "locals" you have to choose a day or days to maximize your offers and you can't go at 11pm and stay till midnight to get two days of offers with one trip.

So consider the following offers, and would you make daily trips for one, two or all three days? Consider for a minute that the cost of gas for each round-trip is $50 (fifty dollars). Free play can be used on video poker or slots, not table games.

FRIDAY $140 weekly free play money + $225 daily free play ($265 total)

SATURDAY $140 weekly free play money + $200 Diamond quarterly gift + $300 or more of daily secret bonus money ($640 total)

SUNDAY $140 weekly free play money + $200 Diamond gift + $300 or more of daily secret bonus money ($640 total)

Note: the secret bonus money of $300+ is for both Saturday and Sunday ($600+ total), while the Diamond Gift of $200 is Saturday or Sunday and not both. The weekly $140 free play can be used only on one day.

Good any day: $160 of additional free play using Total Rewards Credits

Also add in any day: $20 of free play after getting 50 Reward Credits

If you went on Friday only, you would have $365 ($140 + $225) + $20 + $160 RC free play = $545

If you went on Saturday ONLY or Sunday ONLY you would have $140 weekly free play + $200 Diamond Gift + $300 + bonus + $20 + $160 RC free play = $820

If you returned on Saturday or Sunday after playing on Friday, you would have $200 + $300 + bonus + $20 = $520 + bonus (bonus could be $0)

If you returned on Sunday after playing Friday and Saturday you would have $300 + bonus + $20 (again bonus could be $0)

If you went Friday and Saturday your total would be at least $1065
And if you went Saturday and Sunday your total would be at least $980
And if you went Friday, Saturday and Sunday your total would be at least $1385

Subtract from each day $50 for gas. You have nothing else scheduled for the weekend, so there is no opportunity cost for another event or activity.

If you're a "Diamond" card holder won't they comp you a room for the weekend?

Room offers typically depend more on your play and general demand for the room. If you are a Diamond, but only play 99%+ VP and/or use up bunches of comps when you visit, you may not be able to get a weekend room. My mom is a low-level diamond from penny slots, she can't get comped rooms in Vegas upfront on weekends unless it's the crappier half of properties right now.

I also assumed he wasn't going to really play the entire day he was there. But I dunno what I would do. It probably depends on how much I would want to gamble vs. pissing off my significant other. lol Friday looks like the day worth ditching if you're going to ditch one.

I think most of the locals in Southern Cal simply go there to play for a couple of hours and leave. There are a lot of locals who come by casino bus.

Ive never stayed over night there... home is about two hours away.

I think those who stay in the hotel are from out of the region.

I think you're right that most of their hotel-stayers are from out of the region. But, it's a decent hotel. If it's free, why not make a weekend out of it? They're certainly giving you a financial incentive to do so.

My usual daily free play there is less than $200. Thats incentive to go there to play for a couple of hours, but Im not going to stay there once the money runs out.

Thats one reason why I prefer Rincon over Caesars. When you run out of money in Vegas you're stuck in Vegas or face a long ride home. But lose your money at a "local casino" and its a short ride home, and you don't have to pack for a visit either.

Problem is what happens when that is "home" for you. In other words, you have no home to go to. Lol...... Money runs out then you do have to pack "pack out" that is. :)

Hi I am relatively new to free play as I play mainly table games. I logged onto total rewards and saw that I had a $400 slot freeplay offer (Offer Code: 1CW65MFE0AA4) from harrah's SD. But I never received a physical mailer. My question is, do you need to have a mailer in order to redeem these things? Or can U just show up at the total rewards desk? The offer online states that I need the mailer, but I know sometimes it isn't required. I would hate to drive all the way to SD and find out I cant redeem! Thanks in advance.

You need to call them and ask. Sometimes they say you need a physical mailer but you really dont.

When I redeemed my freeplay at Caesers they didn't require any paperwork, just your TR card and ID. Everything should be on the card itself.

I'm heading up to Rincon soon for a getaway, any recommendations on food? Got some dining credits.

On a side note, Harrah's stopped doing the shuttle from where I live. Valley view has a free bus though. Has anyone done this or gone back and forth between the two without a car? Thinking of playing a VV for a couple hours so they don't get pissed and then going to Harrah's to rack up TR tier credits.

Any info would be appreciated.

NCTD 388 is the casino shuttle, connecting all four casinos along the Highway 76 corridor (Pala, Pauma, Rincon, and Valley View). http://www.gonctd.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/map388-389.pdf
