It doesnt appear if any table games were removed.
But the new empty space is very noticeable.
One group of ten VP machines featured games advertised as paying up to 99.8% or better and included 9/7 Triple Double Bonus and 8/5 Bonus. The 8/5 Bonus was available at 25-cents per coin.
I think the 9/7 Triple Double Bonus was also at 25-cents per coin. There is another bank of 9/7 TDB but these are upright machines. The VP machines that were removed were all slant tops.
Quote: ChumpChangeSomebody found a glitch in the machines? I think it's just greedy casino executives chasing away VP players who wouldn't play 7/5 games.

I choose not to read much into it.
I see lots of casinos begin their floor layout rearrangements on the last Monday of the month.

If I had to guess, the game with the highest return was 9/5 Triple Bonus Poker Plus. My second guess would be Triple Deuces.
I can't stand the wording used by marketing: “up to [insert meaningless figure here] or more”. It cries out, “We don’t understand numbers and we hope the consumer understands them even less!”

I dont recall seeing those two games being offered at Suncoast.
Quote: DRichI am never surprised when a casino removes video poker machines. They just don't earn nearly what video slots do.

Some slots were also removed.
I don’t need specifics, just curious. Haven’t been back in about 8 years now.

There were still some last year when I moved away.

I had this prank in mind, but never did it. Getting some mini signs made with a sticky backs, that say, “0ver 100% payback with correct play” to stick on some slot machines.
(Well it’s amusing to me if no one else, especially if one could still find the one armed bandits)

rxwine,
I found some while in LV in June.
Dog Hand
If so, these machines might have been removed because they're about 20 years old and ready to be replaced by the fancier, two-monitor Game King machines.

YES. Plenty of them.
I also counted 22 machines in four banks with 25c, 50c, $1 9/7 TDB.
Quote: AKT60I was at Suncoast today. The Up to 99.8% machines were right there where they have been for a few years - six machines (not ten) near the valet entrance and hotel registration. They do have 99.80% TB+ on these in 25c, 50c and $1.

The bank of machines at the parking lot entrance near the seafood restaurant and the steakhouse was removed.
Some of the slot kiosks near the valet and registration desks were removed.
The small groups of slant tops near the showroom bar had the paytables lowered.
The two 100-play VP machines near the deli were raised from 1-cent minimum to 2-cent minimum so it's now $2 minimum to play all 100 lines instead of $1 minimum for 100 lines.
There were machines removed from the area close to the players Club area including full pay VP machines.
