I always thought the walkway was a waste of space, but i wonder how this is going to appear. Comments already are comparing it to the Hawaiian Market and not in a good way.
I did enjoy the ducks in the water on the few times I entered Bally's this way.

Yes, it does. And I really wonder how "upscale" such a thing in front of Bally's it could possibly be? I read some of the critical comments on the paper's website. I have to fear it would be a flea market.
Will pawn shops set up tables to finance gamblers down on their luck inside? Or could you get a loan on your Rolex before you walk in, and hope to redeem it on the way out? Maybe some flavored oxygen vendors will have space outside to help those who were inside recover faster?

How upscale do you dare to be outdoors? Protections against shoplifting are not as good in outdoor markets, after all. Imagine $500 sunglasses or $1,000 purses right out in the open!

Absolutely correct.
But I do love that booth that sells Elvis portraits on velvet, and the toilet seats with embedded casino chips and cards. But that isn't as good as my all time favorite-- a toilet seat with embedded barbed wire and razor blades.

I stayed at Bally's last week, and yes, they are doing some construction work out in front that will include some different shops. Not sure when it's all supposed to open, but they are currently in the construction phase.
