Quote: GreasyjohnThere was a 49-star American Flag before Hawaii became the 50th state, so I don't think there was a rush to get to 50.
I'm pretty sure that when Alaska became a state it was already known when exactly Hawaii would be admitted to the union, about a year later. This has been discussed before, but I hear that most people didn't bother to buy a 49-star flag and just flew the 48-star one until Hawaii became official. What few 49-star flags were made I hear are now valuable, due to the small supply of them.

I remember that well, I was in 5th
grade. We knew about HI, but the
law said we had to have a 49 star
in the interim. So when they came
out, everybody was buying them as
sure to be valuable collectibles one
day. Nope. There is a glut of them,
they will never be worth much.
Next, I'd like to suggest 6:00 as the official starting time. Can I get somebody to second the motion?
I'm not sure If I can make it, however I will second it.Quote: WizardWith a vote of 6-0, I think it is safe to call the 777 Brewhouse at the Main Street Station as the official venue of the 2015 WoV Spring Fling. Again, the date shall be May 16.

All those opposed?

I oppose it. I suggest 6:08:17 as the official start time.
That last one to arrive between you two pays the entire bill.Quote: DocEither 6:00 or 6:08 will work for me. I'll be there at 6:00 just to be safe. I might even be willing to wait the extra 17 seconds for rudeboyoi to show up.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I assume it is contemplated that attendees will have dinner there?

Yes. It is usually just drinks for the first hour and then we order grub.
