Thanks rudeboyoi, is CMC4 (Chickent McNugget Challenge 4) going to happen? If so, when?

I agree, time to set a date. I know it is short notice, but how about next week sometime?

I can do Monday or Tuesday next week. Maybe Thursday.

I might be too hungover from Wednesday night. Tuesday would be best.

heart as this one did.

That's good with me. Can any of the other Vegas members make it?
So far I don't have a single wager on this, not counting my $100 freeroll offer. Anybody interested in getting 2 to 1 on the YES?
only at 2/1? 6/1 seems more realistic.

It doesn't hurt to start low and work my way up. I would take 6 to 1 if anyone is offering.
Here are the lines I'm offering to members in good standing. My window is specifically closed to Lemieux66, as I don't do business with welchers.
Yes +300
No -500
I think -500 on the no is not something I would want to take. If anyone can do this I think he can. I'm not saying I think he can, I'm saying he has the best chance out of all the people.Quote: WizardI suggest we do this at 5:00 PM at the usual McDonalds (at the D) this Tuesday.

My question is How much will you take on the no?
As boring as watching paint dry, grass grow,
or watching someone attempt to eat 100
nuggets.

I will be in Vegas but not sure if I can talk my wife (yea, I know) into going downtown to watch this. We were DT last trip and were not planning on it this time. If you did it on the Strip at a McD there, I would walk down. Anyways, here is my offer, I met Rudeboy with Mission last December and I am willing to bet on him. I will take the YES at +350 for $100 if you are willing to book it at those odds. Seems fair as the posted odds have some wiggle room. I also want to give $50 to Rudeboy if he completes the challange. If I cannot make it Tuesday, I will be on the strip at Cosmo and the general area from Tuesday- early Saturday to square up if that works.
My money is always good, win or lose.
Quote: AxelWolfMy question is How much will you take on the no?
You can bet up to $500 to win $100.

If Axel takes the bet above I'll accept yours and play both sides.
You two are also welcome to negotiate a bet between each other, as you would make out better than going through me, to be honest with you.

Can we count on you for that?! It would be nice to sweeten the pot, to increase his motivation.

I think DT will be more convenient for the usual suspects who show up for these things. I'm sure you can sneak a away for an hour or two. Just hop on the Deuce.
Bet is firm on my end as soon as someone confirms.
Quote: BozYour site, so I was willing to let you middle if you could, or if Axel wants it, we can work it out. But YES, I am in for $100 and will give Rudeboy $50 if I can get $350 on the YES and he completes the challenge.

Thank you. Id appreciate it.

Seems to me that they may have had the munchies. That was an awful lot of giggling about such a serious subject. Would that be considered cheating? Has anyone considered that a participant could materially affect the outcome by smoking a joint before the contest? Should the participants be tested for performance enhancing drugs?

I'm prob gonna pound a few drinks up in vintage Vegas before the challenge starts. I guess I should prob do shots.
Quote: rudeboyoiI'll prob eat half a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast that day then try to not eat anything else until the challenge starts.
uh oh. The ol' attempt to win an eating contest via hunger. Doesnt work.
Just saying. Doesnt hurt anything I guess.

Not that I have a lot of experience with eating contests, but going in hungry seems like a bad plan. Your stomach may have room in it, but you may start to feel full more quickly.

Full peanut butter sandwich and beer instead of shots then?
better than she does.

She didn't look that good even back when Monica was blowing "not having sex with" her husband.
Quote: DaddydocLike I said, I'm no expert, but I would think that having a small breakfast, a small lunch, and a modest amount of high-potency/low volume ethanol-containing liquid should do it. Try going in ready for a meal, but not famished.
I'm not an expert either, but based on comments made by people who are competitive eaters, it sounds like good advice.

In good conscience, I should advise Axel to book it, since you're offering him a better price than I am.

I don't know how I can justify it to myself, to take it on the chin getting -money on the no, I was getting even money before. I think I even got odds on the no before.
I could take the yes, as I said before, I think if anyone can do it, he can. I think I might wait to for the day of the event to decide. I might take the yes on this one.
the meat first would work, then eat all the breading.
The fat is in the coating. I could have eaten the
whole bucket of KFC if I had taken off the breading.
Quote: AxelWolfI'm still thinking about this.
You should book Boz's wager. He is looking to get +350, so you would have to lay only -350, instead of -500 with me.

Really? I think that a fair line would be somewhere in the -2000 to -20000 range. (Yes, it's a huge range)

I already have -200. Unfortunately only $100 to win $50. I should have pushed more aggressively to get action at that line when Wiz was only offering even money.
You really think that he has better than a 1 in 20 shot of doing it? I think if you line up 100 people who think that they can do it, you won't get 1 who can. It's a lot harder than it sounds.
Watching someone eat nuggets in and of itself might be boring if you don't have anything ridding on it. Other bets and shenanigans often get started as well. Often times people go have dinner or a few drinks gamble and socialize afterwords.Quote: EvenBobWe've added something the cliche lexicon:

Yup, let's go with that time. It is hard enough as it is.
with that logic why not load up? You are suggesting the line is way off. That's big advantage and you can handle the action.Quote: AxiomOfChoiceI already have -200. Well, it's easy for me to be wrong, by a lot. I might think that it's most likely that the line is somewhere in that range, but if I'm wrong I could be WAY off. The problem with laying odds is that when you are wrong it is very expensive, and I don't have that much information here. Its not like I have stats to back up my thought on what the fair line is.
that's a fair answer.Quote: AxiomOfChoiceWell, it's easy for me to be wrong, by a lot. That's kind of how I feel about the entire thing. considering I got + money on the NO betting on Mission. I got even money on DJatc's shameful attempt(His Miata should have been dead giveaway for evryone, if RB drove one I would know how to bet for sure) TBH, I was on the fence at one point betting on DJ and backed off on some action at even money from his roommate (he is usually correct) I changed my mind a few days before and the day of and picked more action up.
Mission got close and I think RB is more motivated. However that alone wont do it.
