Hello friends,

I am going to Vegas June 14-20. It will be my 5th trip. However, my first with my parents and first with my kids (8 and 16). We are wanting to see 3 shows and already have them picked out. I am wondering the cheapest way to get tickets to these shows. A website, the box office, on the street at one of those tickets 4 2night booths, from someone on here?

The shows we want to see are Tournament of Kings (we are staying at Excalibur if that helps in any way at all), Blue Man Group and Penn and Teller.

Thanks!

If you're diamond at CET properties you get 2 free show tickets per calender month. Also, simply ask! Ask at your hotel/casino how you could get show tickets, how to get them cheaper, etc. Quite often simple speaking up you'll find out things you never would have before. You can also play myVegas and accrue points/comps for shows/etc. I personally have not done this but from everyone I've seen post about it, it seems to work quite well! Hopefully more will chime in about myVegas and other options, but I at least wanted to get the ball rolling =).

Lastly that just came to mind: I think there's a buy one get one stand somewhere in the middle of the strip for show tickets. I remember hearing about this but have never confirmed it.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Half price tickets last minute.

10 onsite booths in Vegas:

Planet Hollywood
-
Giant Coke Bottle
-
Showcase Mall
-
Town Square
-
Casino Royale

Fashion Show Mall
-
Slots of Fun
-
Circus Circus
-
Four Queens
-
Bally's Grand Bazaar

Of your 3 shows, they're listing Tournament at 25% off, Penn/Teller at 40% off, do not mention Blue Man Group, probably because it's Wednesday, when that show is dark, and these are same-day tickets.

This site lists several group discount deals for Blue Man Group Las Vegas.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

It does work, but you're looking at about 3 or 4 or 5 months at maybe 5-10 minutes per day to accumulate enough free points for show tickets. I use myVegas for (premium Cirque du Soleil) show tickets for every trip, 3-ish trips per year. The beginning of the big thread on myVegas on these forums has details on how to accelerate point accumulation.

SHORT TERM I would look into the Las Vegas Advisor coupon book for 2 for 1's for shows. The book costs about $ 40, but you can easily make that up on discounts if you give it even half a try. BUT I don't think any of the shows you mentioned are in that booklet.

I echo these statements. I have over 700,000 points on that now and that is enough to take a couple trips getting a couple Cirque shows for free plus a $50 Free Play coupon at the MGM property you are staying at
