If you are looking for a good alternative to expensive hotel massage services in Vegas, you should consider Massage Envy. They do couples massages as well as individual, and for a first time visitor it's only $35 per person (more or less). Therefore, you can get the same quality massage as in an expensive hotel for about 20% of the cost so you can do something nice with the wife, and have a little extra left for the tables too. I have no commercial interest in the place, just thought I'd share a tip to help save a buck.

I've been to Massage Envy a couple of times, and they do offer a solid massage. For me, though, the best part of the spas at the resorts is the pools, jacuzzis, steam rooms, etc. I also appreciate the fruits and juices usually provided and the serene, relaxing setting. I usually stay for a minimum of 4 hours.

I think you're right about Massage Envy if you just want a treatment. If you are looking for an experience, though, I feel it's worth the money to go to a resort spa.

What spa(s) in particular have you been to, and at what cost?

Red Rock, JW Marriot and MGM Grand. I usually get a 50 minute massage, and with a tip, I wanna say my final cost is under $130.

My companion likes to be pampered at a spa. The music, the healthful snack, ... hours of various scrubs or baths or some such thing.

Are there any casinos where it is common for the casino to pick up the spa charges? At the Venetian I couldn't even charge the spa stuff to the room, it had to go on my credit card. If I can charge it to the room at least there is a slight chance they might comp it.

Any comp experiences with spas?

Wow.
These are some good tips for me and those who didn't try spa for relaxation. I think you're right about Rub Covet if you just want a therapy. If you are looking for an encounter, though, I experience it's value the cash to go to a hotel spa.

The M Resort spa offers a monthly deal aimed at locals.
Probably a good deal if you are going to be in Vegas for an extended time but most women like to "spa" where they stay.
