Bicycle Card Video

Here is a link to a pretty nifty video featuring Bicycle playing cards. Nimble fingers.

I like Bicycle brand cards. For a mass produced product, they have a fairly high level of quality for a fair price.

My father had a weekly poker game, which he hosted once every 6 weeks or so. My mom often has friends over for some game (I don't know which). For a very long time they bought large amounts of Bicycle cards.

I learned to shuffle with those cards, and practiced playing poker and other games with them. I recall playing war, go fish and other children's games (I still smile at Casino War). So I like them on a nostalgic level, too.

When you mentioned Bicycle cards it reminded me of an act a friend of mine does. His name is Shawn Farquhar and he has won numerous awards including "Grand Prix World Champion of Magic" (basically the best sleight of had magician in the world). He does large illusions but it's the little stuff that I find truly amazing. He performs on ships and at some of the largest venues around the world. I met him when I was a Cruise Director for one of the major cruise lines and here's a clip of his (and my) favourite act. Shape of my Heart
