Bryan Bailey sold his popular Casinomeister website for €3 million, which works out to $3.3M.

So, he beat the Wizard by about $1M, but there's been inflation since the Wiz sold, so the sale price for both sites is in the same ballpark.

The Wiz and Bryan were pretty much the only "Lone Rangers" running big gambling sites, but no more. Both were acquired by companies with staff.

I run Easy Vegas, but it's pretty small by comparison, and there's no forum.

Trivia, the three of us (Wiz, Bryan, and I) had dinner on Montreal at a gaming convention back in the day, like 20 years ago. Time flies.

By the way, admins, from the Forums page I chose Gambling Business > Other for this post, but after I clicked that, the section is actually titled "Other Attractions and Entertainment", which mirrors the name of another forum here.

What these buyers are looking for is traffic obviously, driven by content - but also some sort of connection between the visitors to the site and especially online casinos. Casinomeister even has a portal for "complaints" about online casinos, where the owner will help mediate. If not for the advent of online casinos I doubt anyone would have paid a nickel for WOO or Casinomeister - you won't find, for example, the brick and mortar casinos advertising on any of these websites, they are too concerned with regulating their image and don't want to be tied to any venue where they cannot control every word that might be said about them.

I glanced at Casinomeister and looks like Bailey was saying that he will be flat out retiring. This surprises me if he was able to sell the website and then walk away completely, I wonder who will run the site. Clearly with WOO, the Wizard was forced to stay onboard to produce content and help run things for at least some period of time, as part of the deal.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/
