For those of you who may be looking for a different type of gaming while in Vegas...
There is a board game convention called MeepleCon that will be running at the Eastside Cannery from Friday, March 18th - Sunday, March 20th. The cost is $45 for a three day pass, or $25 for one day.
Going to be a lot of fun for those interested in that type of gaming. Search for MeepleCon in your search engine for more info.

I'm based in the UK but have heard about a few 18xx conventions in the US such as GenCon, Puyffin' Billy etc. (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/18XX ). Here there are many (such as MidCon ManorCon StabCon BayCon Expo [at NEC]) (see https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1372307/britains-biggest-boardgame-convention ).
If you're really into games visiting Essen (more of a buying opportunity) is the best ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiel or http://www.merz-verlag-en.com/ ).
For those not familiar with board games, a meeple is a piece, typically wooden men, used in board games.
ps - if you're in Southampton I'm probably going to http://stabconsouth.com/ unless I'm tempted to go to the CAMRA beer-fest in Liverpool!
