Local here, mostly video poker with some slots. Between Caesars, Venetian, Station, Red Rock, Palms and Virgin, I've got offers coming in by mail, email and the apps, all with different windows, codes and blackout dates.

I've definitely let free play and room offers expire just because I lost track, and a couple of times I booked one comp when a better overlapping offer was sitting in another inbox.

Right now it's a calendar plus a messy spreadsheet. Curious what the rest of you do:

- Do you track every offer or just the big ones?
- Spreadsheet, calendar, app, or just memory?
- How do you compare value when two offers overlap (free play vs. room nights vs. food credit)?
- Ever lost a good offer to an expiration date?

Appreciate any systems or horror stories.

I think the first thing is to decide what is worth the most to you between room, food, or play.

Then figure out how much more valuable it is than the next best. (Maybe freeplay is worth face value, but food is only worth half of face value.)

Personally, I struggle to benefit from more than 2 food comps or 1 room on most days.
May the cards fall in your favor.

The thing that catches most people isn't the expiration date on the offer, it's that there are usually two or three of them and the mailer only makes one of them obvious. A room offer typically has a book-by date that lands well before the stay window, and free play often has its own separate download-by and play-by clock — some programs release it in weekly chunks rather than one monthly lump, and at a few of them, once you pull it down at the machine it's gone if you don't play it out in that session. So one calendar entry per offer doesn't help much. One entry per deadline, set to the earliest of those dates with the offer code pasted into the note, is what stops them slipping.

On the overlap question, converting everything to cash-equivalent before you decide is the part that actually changes the answer. Free play is close to face on a 99%+ VP game and gives a real chunk back on slots, food credit is Dieter's half-face at best unless you were eating there anyway, and a comped room is worth what you'd otherwise have paid minus the resort fee, which plenty of comp offers still bill unless your tier waives it. Once two offers are in the same units the choice tends to make itself. I'd also trust the app's offers page over the mailer for the actual terms — a mailer's print date can be weeks behind what's really loaded on the account.

I would think you just paste it all into your favorite AI and then ask your questions.
