I placed mdawg (and the other guy about constantly winning Roulette) on ignore a long time ago.
Their posts provide no value to me.
My enjoyment reading this site has much improved.

I'm shocked others haven't done the same?

I... Never thought of that.
The forum allows me to manually read blocked users so will try that for the bacc player since I only blocked him this year.

On another Website, once you have someone on ignore, you NEVER see that they posted. MOST Websites have a "Post by Ignored Poster. Click to read post."" That certain Website doesn't show ANY posts by Ignored Posters, as if they NEVER posted, which is actually a VERY interesting idea. I remember on the old IMDB Messageboards, Posters were questioning why they STILL got a "Post by Ignored Poster. Click to read post," and said,"If I have someone on ignore, that means I don't want to see that they posted at ALL." 💡

I am trying to figure this one out - how it was any kind of actionable insult.

Distant memory of something...distant! Wolf has flat out told us that he cannot remember accurately past events before.
I am saying that I believe it is a distant memory of something from long ago. Is this not true? How is that an insult.

Also, is it not true that Wolf has told us before that he cannot remember accurately certain past events?

For example, Wolf still claims that this claim is inaccurate, but can't even remember why he believes so!
1. SiegfriedRoy made a claim
2. Wolf said he does not believe it
3. I asked Wolf why, and he said he does not remember why

So, again, what is the problem here?

In any case, pushing dem buttons is a fate worse than death in mah opinion.

My opinion - I can say that.

As well all of this happened in my thread. How do I hijack my own thread, with my own opinion on something?

I think this was either an absurd precedent or Wizard didn’t understand what was being said.

I mean if this was actionable then Wolf’s coming in and saying he doesn’t believe me about my good memory:
Quote: AxelWolf

Quote: MDawg

I can tell what has been played in the decks what remains and what it means mathematically at any given moment.

I do not believe that. I would be willing to bet that you can't.
link to original post

is actionable as both an insult and hijacking.

This was an absurd precedent by Wizard that I believe was done simply to sooth Wolf. By request I even posted an apology to make Wolf feel better.

Most of the people there quit the forum over Dark Oz—Maxpen was there, as was most of the same crew from Axels' wedding. I'm drawing a blank on their forum names as we used our slave names when we were together. I don't recall Mr. Wizard being there, but he might have been.. It was originally supposed to be a dinner at a Thai place but they couldn't accommodate the large party so we ended up playing pool and ordering takeout.

I was discussing some of my AP adventures and members were upset I was "discussing TMI".

They knew I was discussing serious methods for AP.

They also thought this was primarily an AP forum but really it's a general gambling forum with advantage players a (now shrunk) community.

Instead they chose to migrate to that vile place where cursing at each other over political beliefs is the norm.

I guess they figured they were displaying their right to free speech by avoiding a site that allows free speech about AP secrets

Yes, I guess it was some kind of protest. Most of the people on our crew and other APs quit posting on the Forum because they didn't want to support and participate on a forum that was allowing too much sensitive Advantage Play information(People were upset with DarkOz for doing that)

There was some peer pressure for me to do the same, but I refused, as I don't go along with the herd mentality.

I had been posting on here prior to all those guys becoming members, and I was an Advantage Player long before any of them. While I didn't have to argue my point, I did explain there were numerous times when someone had posted something either asking a question or exposing sensitive information. Oftentimes they were new to Advantage Play and didn't understand the possible repercussions of their post. A few occasions there were seasoned Advantage Players who just didn't realize how good a play was or the fact that it might lead to other discussions exposing something more valuable.

I was able to send them a private message explaining why that their post was probably not a good idea and why. I was able to answer their question or direct them to someone who could. Most of the time they had come to the realization of what I was saying it was in their best interest and the best interest of other Advantage Players. Most of the time people would delete their post or ask that it be removed so it wouldn't further the discussion exposing more information. I've had multiple people tell me they didn't realize it at the time, but they have since come to realize that loose lips sink ships.

I guess in this case it was a good thing having a wolf watch the hen house.

As far as I know no one from the forums or Advantage Play community has actually met KJ. I know quite a few Advantage players and people in the gambling community. I know people who know people, but no one that I know of has ever admitted to having had any communication with him outside the forums.

There was one incident where someone believed they may have ran into him at a blackjack table. However, that has since been disputed given the small amounts being bet.

I'm fairly confident I ran into his husband a few times given the description he gave, the locations he played, and the games being played. I didn't even realize it at the time, it was only after all that information that I put two and two together. I'm still not 100% certain, it could be very coincidental.

ZenKing is still a conspiracy theorist crazy ass son of a bitch. ZenKing is His own worst enemy. Whatever the case, I like Zen King regardless of his craziness. He comes to most of the events that we host or when people come into town definitely fun entertaining guy to hang around with.

I do believe that he has managed to save somewhere in the $200,000 range all while paying his bills for the many years that he's been here. He lives in a nice high-rise Tower close to the strip and he has decorated his place pretty nicely.

But here's the kicker, Mr DieHard hardcore blackjack player who called out all the blackjack players who turned to playing slots, button-pushing frauds and claimed they were people who couldn't make it in blackjack. And yet he has accumulated half of that amount in a tiny fraction of the amount of time it took him in blackjack.
He has seen the light and has since become a "button-pushing fraud" of course he defends that action by saying he's the GOAT and found shit nobody else did or some nonsense like that. Not true, I pegged exactly what I thought he was doing because it's the only thing that made sense and I thought of it long before he even considered slots, I even told a few others it was a good idea.

Bill has admitted he was thinking of Zenking and not KewlJ. Not sure what you mean by him not backing down when Bill has already done that.

It's a natural mistake IMO. ZK, KJ, etc.

As for playing pool like Zenking I don't get the reference. I have played pool sparingly. So what?

As for the Exodus from the forum that was of course online. Any meetups were always attended by AP's. There was a big stink when some casino security guy tried to attend. There was no need for AP's to feel like leaving the forum for AP to AP only banter.

But IMO it's worse to give your AP secrets to other AP's than casino employees. To casino employees it's just a job and they don't go all Rubik's cube (trying to solve until blue in the face) to figure out the entire method

AP's will start flying cross country if they even get a sniff of a possible angle.

I don't miss that life at all. I'm glad I did it, but I'd rather do online auctions than put in hours in the casino..

I actually like being in the casino.
Book a couple free nights stay.
Do laps around the casino in the morning, eat free lunch (comps). sleep because of lunch.
wake up. Do more laps and usually get 10k steps.
Do other stuff at night because too many APs camping and i dont like doing camping. I find camping mind boggling boring/tedious.

Ebay. I sell my unwanted casino giveaway stuff there. Hold it for a few months after you get it though, because lots of people who got the same promo are doing the same thing and the market is saturated immediately after.

Facebook Marketplace. It's the only place to sell anything now of the type of stuff that you have. I have bought probably 15 items off of marketplace just this year and many of those I wanted already sold. It cost nothing to list something and you have a huge buyer base. Price it to sell and it will sell. Nobody sells on Craigslist anymore I didn't even know that was still around.

When I lived in NY, I spent about five weeks a year in Vegas, averaging about ten hours a day playing in casinos or bars with good VP.
When I moved to Henderson,I was in casinos five, sometimes six, days a week. I had most of my meals comped, but the whole thing started to bore me.
There are three Indian casinos within a ten-minute drive of me, and I have not been to a casino in two years, except for going to a concert.

The problem with selling a hundred items on ebay is that you'll get about ten people who don't follow through. If you sell ninety items, you have to pack ninety items. Unless you use Priority Mail, this means multiple trips to the Post Office. If you ship Priority, the Post Office will pick up in most places. You need to provide boxes, packing material, tape, etc. You need a dedicated shipping and holding area if you sell dozens of items regularly. Then there are fees. It's not called Fee-Bay for nothing. I'm unfamiliar with their current fees, but I doubt they went down since I left.
Then, you will have unhappy buyers. Some will request partial refunds, others will abuse you for a tiny flaw, and packages will get lost or stolen.
I don't bring random buyers into my house, and meeting at neutral sites is a pain and potentially dangerous.
Years of buying and selling have allowed me to establish a network of trusted dealers I deal with. No one venture is the best to sell everything, in my opinion.
Being part of a multi-family yard sale can be fun and profitable. Casino stuff moved well when I had yard sales in Bisbee, but it wasn't your typical giveaway items.

I have recently adjusted strategy to waiting until very late in the collection period, unless I specifically want the item.
If they've run out of stock of the premium gift, some properties will issue free play in lieu. I find free play much easier to convert to cash.

My daughters just swiped adopted my entire supply of giveaway hoodies and jackets, so I guess I'll have to keep qualifying for more of those...
May the cards fall in your favor.

Unfortunately, when my elderly parents did a yard sale, my siblings said they had several things stolen. But the yard sale, or garage sale was something I saw going back to childhood with my parents. I remember going to other ones, and a having a few of our own.

That is a problem, but remember that the sale was to get rid of stuff you didn't want in the first place.
Is it better to convert trash to cash and have some stolen along the way or to keep a garage full of unwanted stuff to prevent someone from stealing what you don't want?
Sadly, theft is a way of life and is a part of doing business. A few years ago, I was at a conference with 25 of the leaders in our field. A company gave us a presentation and gave everyone a Sterling Silver Superman statue. Within thirty minutes, one of the people in the room stole two that were briefly unattended. Police were called, and the thief came forward voluntarily. He wasn't prosecuted, but he burned down thirty years of networking and closed many doors.
Thieves suck, but the fear of them can be worse.

A friend of mine recently had a yard sale and invited me to drop off anything I wanted to sell. Among a bunch of stuff I left with her were two pairs of skiis. When I returned later to get what didn't sell, which was most of it, I noticed the skiis missing, but nobody collected any money for them. It is speculated a customer just took them without paying.

Shoplifting from garage sales is huge because if it's busy nobody notices when you walk off with stuff. Especially these days when shoplifting is practically a national epidemic. Grocery stores in certain places are closing their doors for good because shoplifting has completely taken all their profits. Especially meat, shoplifting meat is huge now because the price of beef is so high.
