If you look at my decade long posting history there are months long hiatus'
I still check in every day but see nothing to comment on.
Mostly I see every day MDawg adventures.

I have nothing against Mission146, and did not opine anything against him in fact. I have defended him in that his position and attitude seem consistent - he really doesn't seem to care about money, and I've stated that probably the only reason he hasn't paid is because he doesn't have the money right now. The fact that he owes around $1000. is plain fact, wasn't offered for any reason other than as plain fact. If anything, it defends him because failure to come up with around $1000. sounds better than failure to come up with $480.
Mission146 has made it clear that all he did is crunch numbers, he never offered any opinion one way or another as to my session reports. So, I think you should smoke some more of that stuff you espouse here almost daily and think again on what I posted about Mission146 means because it was certainly not intended as a slight against him.
Anyway you may keep burning rubber with all this anti MDawg rhetoric, or step back and make a fresh start. I'm willing if you are.

Wizard, while I understand the reason behind the rule ('private' should mean 'never revealed'), the effect in the real world is that it allows or even promotes hypocritical behavior. Two members could coordinate via PM to indulge in a poo-flinging contest, while laughing their cans off in PMs about the drama they caused.
Not saying that's what's happening in any particular case, but you have to admit it is possible.
It would seem to me that a negotiated settlement should be possible. It should be possible that in exchange for bringing him back, the Powers That Be would instead impose a public lengthy ban on any further bets from Mission. Someone who is in a position to do so (the Angel) would front the amount of the debt Mission owes. Any payback is then between Mission and the Angel. Let me state up front that I do not have the 'casual cash' laying around to pay Mission's debt this instant, but that will probably resolve in the next several weeks.

I myself posted something VERY similar. I said that maybe every Poster can donate $10/$20 to forgive Mission's debt and Mission can get a warning to NEVER pull this kind of stunt again or he will be permanently Nuked. 💡
I would love to have Mission come back - I think a lot of his posts and a lot of the functions he performed were valuable
but I doubt he will

I think there are things going on with Mission. I used to communicate with him a few times a year outside the forum, but got ghosted. His demeanor on the sister site* changed as well. Kind of thing that makes one hope all is well but you cannot find out.

Often, there is grousing and kvetching.
Sometimes, there are legitimate questions or disputes about a particular instance.
Having it here supposedly stops such enthusiastic dissatisfaction from derailing the main thread.

One of the stupidest Threads I ever started on WOV was the one where I started a Thread about it being cold in April . Mission closed the Thread quickly and told me there was a Miscellaneous Thread for thoughts like those. Another stupid Thread I started was the one about comments people made about Pompeii Slot saying something like,"I need a penny!(They called the Julius Caesar coin a penny) That Thread was quickly closed and even I mentioned it was a stupid thread and deserved to be closed. 💡

But let's say someone you don't like doesn't show up at a group gathering, and you say there is a God after all. In my experience when a lot of people don't like someone it's because they did or do something no one likes.
Actions (or status) may be overlooked if committed by someone known to us. For example if I knew D.Oz from when he was a successful film worker and I saw him languishing in the subways of NYC I might lend him a helping hand and invite him into my house for a shower and a meal. But if I didn’t know him at all I’d probably just look at him with disdain or avoid him.
Families and friends overlook or at least don’t run from the actions of family and friends all the time.

Maybe if you had a set of double D'S but my suspicion radar would probably have been even higher in that scenario.

Other Posters were LAUGHING at his post saying something like,"LMAO, you lucky man!" I responded something like,"This actually isn't funny at all. This is suspicious that she kissed him out of nowhere. The guy in question responded something like,"Karen Nathan is right. I don't know how you guys find this suspicious activity FUNNY. She and I aren't dating or anything like that and she just kissed me out of the blue. I think she has nefarious plans for me to be honest." 💡
I waa so unlike other homeless that one subway rider once exhorted how horrible homeless people were to me, not realizing I was homeless as well.

I actually had a strange woman just come up and kiss me in a bar. It was a full body hug kiss, her arms stretched around me.
As I don't drink I was fully cognizant so it probably threw her off but very quickly as she laid on the kiss I felt her hands digging into my pants pockets and lifting whatever valuables she could snatch out.
I grabbed her hands and had a quick tug of war, when she suddenly burst out laughing and let go.
It wasn't a funny laugh like she thought it hilarious. It was more like acting and melodramatic. Perhaps a defense mechanism to getting caught or she was trying to play it off in case it was an issue in the club. But it was so crowded in there she was gone from view very quickly.
I got the kiss though (didn't really get to enjoy it)
