Whether I consider Buzz a friend or not, I don't let him continue once he's identified. It's not up to me whether he posts here. I would estimate I've banned him 16 or so times, several of those before anyone else knew he'd made a sock.
However, his accounts are subject to the same checks and limitations all the others are. Until I have some kind of verification, I don't just ban socks. Perhaps, if you're so all-knowing and dogged, you should be looking in the mirror at who is at fault here. You apparently knew before I did, though you have the luxury of throwing around accusations whether they're merited or not. So if it's such a BFD, why did I not get a PM from you? Or send one to the other mods?

Are you acquainted with a fellow previously known as "1BB" by any chance? You seem to have an awful lot in common & would hit it off really well, I'm sure. He's sweet.
Please don't forget all the good things BBB has done for this site and it's members over many years. She is usually one of the first people to step up when it really counts. All the good deeds may not always get talked about. Sometimes there are way more to suspensions behind the scenes than we know about.
I think we would lose some good members here if she was somehow forced out. I have a feeling there are lots more people here who feel that way. They may be "afraid" to speak out.

Sometimes there are way more to suspensions behind the scenes than we know about.

Being a mod that really helps keep the forum in line is a tough job. No one really wants to be "the bad guy", but with all the political crap here being tossed around, several regular members here have rude moments and those have to be addressed.

We moderators can take some constructive criticism, but this goes too far. Personal insult -- three-day suspension.

Gordon you are totally out of line imo. Babs does a great job moderating the forum along with everything else she does for WoV. Insinuating that she is somehow unwell is beyond rude.
Honestly I agree with Axel, if Babs goes then I’m gone too. Luckily I don’t think this will be an issue but any forum that would fire an unpaid worker as devoted as Babs is not a site that I would patron.

I have complained about some moderation issues but I have also had good conversations with those I have had issues with on other subjects...has this new poster made any comments yet other than those about the moderation or suspensions?

If any member would care to classify every word, phrase and context in the US English language, then please submit it as a machine readable document and I'll consider using it for purely objective moderation, after we carry out a thorough evaluation of the list, of course. Until then, I and the other moderators will continue to apply our judgement as best we can.

I asked someone if they stopped beating their wife to make a point of them asking a loaded question and got 3 days in the box because they did not understand the common example of a loaded question.
