Highly annoying, lately when I post nothing posts and just get a blank screen, or this
Gotten to where I need to copy an entire post before posting it or else just give up and move on without posting at all after it fails.
Above error happens lately sometimes merely when trying to load the WOV dot com forum, even without a login.

I receive that message when I first log in, but refreshing resolves the issue. I have not gotten the message once I'm on, and have not noticed any missing posts.

It's happening more frequently, especially on chrome. What was taking one or two refreshes is now multiple attempts most times.

… or, just maybe, it’s a well known MySQL/MariaDB error that can be stopped in one of three ways, whichever applies. 1) max_connections setting is too low in the config file, boost it. 2) resources are insufficient, increase them. 3) coding is failing to close connections when work is completed, fix coding.Quote: portentis

The losing of posts is the most annoying aspect of all this. Having to copy paste every post before posting is a pain. I doubt this forum's posts could be easily transferred to a vbulletin or Xenforo platform, so we are probably stuck with what we have.

Given the error message that I often get regarding too many connections, I have to wonder if it’s a bandwidth issue. (This is my uncertified guess.)
Furthermore, is AI activity over-utilizing certain websites? Will this become the norm going forward (not just on WoO, but elsewhere as well)?

It might not be difficult at all. It would just involve writing a tool to convert it all from one format to another.
That has actually been done on social media already. When Google + social media folded, MeWe wrote a tool that let its users transfer their whole account on G+ to MeWe.

I have had that happen, but I have also been getting the 403 Forbidden page randomly while clicking through the site. Back one page, forbidden, new tab, still forbidden. It can happen whether or not I am logged in. It clears up after like ten or twenty seconds but still makes me sad, annoyed, enraged, etc etc other negative emotions. I assume it is related to the other error because I even get in on the main page

I have posted on this thread that I have experienced the same issue that others are reporting. Dieter has also posted on this thread. We don't have it in our job description to mobilize IT technicians to fix systemic issues with the bandwidth of the WOV site.
Speaking of which, if Dieter and I were to publicly post our administrator "job descriptions" then I think that the two of us would be counted in the UN's tally of "modern slavery."

I have to log in on my phone today. I've been getting Forbidden 403 messages before accepting cookies on my phone. On my PC which I'm still logged in with I keep getting disconnected when I click on just about any link on the site. All I could do is check my PM's, I couldn't even log out. Early this afternoon I could check a topic but as soon as I tried to make a post the site froze and disconnected. Later I couldn't click on anything. I tried a VPN with no difference. I'm either blackballed by IP address or something is wrong with the site.

You can't be blackballed by IP address since you were able to make this post. 💡 If you were blackballed by IP address, you would see a message saying something like,"You have been blocked by IP Address. You wouldn't be able to see ANYTHING except for the "You have been blocked by IP address," message. Trust me on this. 💡

I did a Windows Network Diagnostics and it came up with "resource (wizardofvegas.com) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts."
Then the page loaded after it went blank when I tried to log out. Now it appears my PC has logged out. I'm on my phone, not sure if this will post.
The remote computer isn't responding to connections on port 443, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable. Windows couldn't find any problem with the firewall on your system.
I tried to login again on my PC and the page crashed. But I got a little further before it crashed before trying to login. I got as far as reading this post.
Just ran across a story that T-Mobile has a Legal and Emergency Response Team. The letter informs people that one of their lines accessed a site that promotes hacking-related activity, and sites containing adult-orientated content featuring fictional characters presented as underage. So T-Mobile will block those websites from the T-Mobile network for everybody. There will be ongoing monitoring of your account activity.
T-Mobile says that letter is false but they do use standard protections to block access to known malicious sites for security purposes. There is no Legal and Emergency Response Team. Just sounds like that secret double probation from Animal House to me. We'll, I am on my wi-fi, so something about the PC's not connecting is not quite a site blocking by T-Mobile.

I'll bother Miro, the technical Wizard of the site, about this, again. I'm quite sure he is aware of the problems and doing his best. It's my understanding these are very technical and difficult problems. Please be patient with us.

Part of what is going on, lately, is that the site starts blocking your IP address if it thinks you are a threat.
I've been logged in, doing something all good, and then after a bit I can't access the site and need to change my IP address to even get the site to load at all.
Essentially, the Cloudflare like blockers are going too far.

Out of curiosity I tried logging in through Tor. Works just fine.
Only mentioning that because a lot of anti-DoS blocks Tor exits.

Don't want to jinx it,but over the last couple days site seems to be back to normal. Thanks to the tech gurus and admin for getting things back to normal. It was frustrating for a bit.

There's a global internet outage related to Amazon today. It's taken down banks, shopping sites, social media sites, and now I can't even log in to AAA.
