There was only one table open and it was full. There were even people standing behind the players waiting for an open spot.
My choices were to wait for a spot, go to another casino or play Bubble craps. I decided to play Bubble craps.
I sat down at one of the kiosks and deposited my cash. Then I noticed the dice. After the dice finished bouncing around and stopped I couldn't believe what I saw. One of the die showed 2 pips. The other die showed 3 pips. Was the result a #5 or a #8? The dice showed #5 but the kiosk said #8. The problem was that the die that was supposed to have 6 pips only had 3 pips. It appeared that 3 of the pips had fallen off the die.
I can understand if one pip fell off, but 3 pips falling off would be rare. How can the casino allow this to happen? As soon as the first pip fell off, the die should have been replaced. Are they going to wait for all of the pips to fall off? Can you imagine playing with two die bouncing around with no pips!

Maybe I shouldn't complain because I did have a winning session.
It's also possible they already knew and had some new dice on order already.
I REALLY thought it was a visual thing.
Either way, I would totally complain.
Quote: DJTeddyBearWell, that’s confirmation that there is RFID or something that tells the system the orientation when they stop shaking.

I agree that it’s gotta be an RFID or similar (not visual). If it were visual, it’s an interesting question which bets become positive. I have to think the hard 4 is positive, the pass line and probably the small as well. One fewer combo of 1/6 has to have a massive effect.
Quote: ChumpChangeThe dice at my bubble craps are rolling very strangely lately. Obviously at a real table, the dice would be replaced because they are rolling so lopsidedly. The automatic vibrators inside the dice for when they get stuck must have fallen out of place and now they may vibrate when the dice platform is shaking. Makes me want to play at a real table instead.

Should make you want to find exploitable patterns.
He didn't open the bubble. Instead he used a terminal under seat one which toggled the dice themselves so they un-wedged without the actual bubble floor vibrating.
He was able to control that via RFID he informed me inside the die which is what the computer uses to read the pips
BTW, it's the same for E-Baccarat with real cards being turned by a mechanical arm. The RFID is not only read, but the entire shuffled deck is read in advance so the outcomes of all the hands to be dealt are known by the computer.
I witnessed a machine that the mechanical arm malfunctioned and no cards were being turned however the game continued with the digital animation simulations of the cards going like normal.
I called over a technician and he explained the above to me.
In casino traditional dice the pips are made from the same material as the block so all sides are equally weighted.
If pips are falling off bubble craps dice are the sides with fewer pips weighing less?
The craps situation was the same as last week. Only one table open and people standing around waiting for an open spot. Again I was forced to either go to another casino or play Bubble Craps. I played Bubble Craps and had another winning session. I'm starting to like this Bubble Craps machine.
Wait.. the dice were able to roll themselves without the vibration?Quote: darkozI have related in other threads that it's RFID as told to me by a technician when he had to fix bubble dice that wedged sideways.

there's a motor inside the dice?
